I-95 was very busy from about 25 miles or so north of Miami to the cruise port. I used the express lanes because the regular lanes were stop and go.

I was on the Scarlet Lady May 12-17. I parked in garage G with no problem and no delay. I was glad to get off I-95.

I parked on level 3 at the very end of a row. My car was unblemished.

Cunard ships have a certain refinement - and having traveled solo on both the QM2 and the Queen Elizabeth, I've never been disappointed. (Have 2 more Cunard cruises booked this year).

How do you find the Cunard single cabins. So far, all I see  are high single supplements on Conard.

I checked the deck plans. Assuming that they have been updated since dry dock, it looks like they kept the launderette on Deck 6 (our deck) but I do not see a launderette anywhere else. I think that using the ship's laundry service is still the best bet.

I have been to Venice many times and have travelled in Italy many times. I think we are on our own with our luggage. They may help you from the dock into the boat. That would be all you can expect.

I've always found that spending the day in and around Portofino was enough.

I've never walked the road and am not sure you can walk the road. I've always taken the ferry.

I have been to Portofino many times. You can easily "tour" this very small town on your own. Things to do - walk, browse the shops, visit a restaurant, have a coffee and a beer. You can easily walk up to Santa Margherita.

Last time we ran into strikes when neither vaporettos nor alilaguna were running.   After standing outside waiting in the rain for near an hour at an stop where they were supposed to be running😟. 

A private sunrise water taxi trip to the airport is one of our fondest memories of Venice.  

Ifyou are flying out of Venice be there three hours ahead as it can be very congested.  The alilaguna is incredibly slow unless you are on the north side nearest the airport.  

Good recommendation. I have booked a shared taxi on Viator based on your recommendation.

This is an option I'll investigate once we're at our hotel.

I'll have to check with my grandson but chances are he will want to do this.

We have booked the Hotel Flora - it's more expensive than other hotels but I figured since it is the end of our trip, we could splurge. However, do you know this hotel and what is your opinion of it? Do you recommend a different hotel?

We won't go directly to the airport as we're staying in Venice for two days. 

We'll take the Alilaguna to our hotel (near San Marco) and from our hotel to the airport. Our flight leaves at 11:00 so we'll need to catch an early shuttle. The Alilaguna should take about 1 hour 20 minutes to get to the airport from San Marco.

Fortunately, I am very healthy and will be accompanied by my 15 year old grandson. We won't need a porter (whew!)

As long as you're not carrying lots of luggage, the walk doesn't look too bad. I have seen comments that the walk is a fairly long one. However, they probably have porters if you need help.

I made a reservation with the HOHO bus in kotor and was able to get onboard right at Port, it was a great value for 20€ and very educational. The price included Evans to a museum in Perast. We took a boat to our Lady of the Rock church (not included in price) and spent time swimming in one the the local beaches! It was amazing and the views coming in to Port and driving around were amazing!
