I am up enough on my NCCL stock to pay for the cruise. The extra $250 is A very nice bonus. I am not selling it nor my Carnival shares. People are certainly cruising. Asia is creating new opportunities for the lines. Cheap oil prices help the bottom line. Overbuilding might become an issue.

After hearing how few machines are available, I really appreciate Crystal all the more. Packing 3 weeks worth of underwear is ridiculous and paying a buck a piece for underpants which I really do not want anyone else touching is equally ridiculous.

We will be on Nautica. How expensive is it for the ship to do laundry? It sounds like I will have to get up four in the Morning to do a wash.
-
Our cruise on Crystal with inclusive laundry room was a comparable price to O. While rooms on Crystal are not equal to Seabourn, I have a feeling that the baths on O will be reminiscent of RCCL. Fortunately, I will not be spending much time in the room.
How many washing machines does O have? Guess the bath is not big enough to hand wash.

Going to be on Nautica. Are there irons available? How many laundry rooms? Used to Crystal where it is free and there are well equipped ones on each floor.

My husband is just thrilled that he does not need a tie.

To me the most important aspect of insurance is an unforeseen medical event. Even though my health insurance covers $50,000 overseas, I want to make sure I can be evacuated. Personally, if I lose the price of the cruise I am not happy, but I can lose any equal amount on investments. I underinsured the price of the cruise which will still provide all the medical benefits and some reembursement should something happen.

Just interested if there are irons in the laundry room.

We paid a deviation because we wanted to spend more time before embarking. We do not leave until January. The TA has secured our seats. Try working through yours.

We are on a 15 day cruise and received a $250 credit because we are share holders. Our travel agent was notified and our documents reflect this.

Any suggestions about excursions either from the cruise or private companies would be appreciated. Thanks.

i am scheduled to go on a cruise that includes Bangkok. In light of the recent bombing, I am a little nervous. I know living near NY, I could have been walking where the people were plowed down. Any suggestions as to sightseeing that might keep us away from crowds?

What about Martinis? My husband likes Bombay Sapphire. I know that if they skimp on his favorite drink he will not be a happy camper and it will be back to Crystal for us.

Enjoyed your photos. Going on Nautica for the first time in January. Interested in your take on food, service and any other input you may have. Thanks.

We will be on that cruise and would like to do some private tours. I have not researched them yet, but will start soon.

Thank you all. As the itinerary is what truly is most important, we will give it a shot. There are no penthouses left on the cruise we want. The veranda room looks okay. How small are the baths? I cannot tell from the Photos. I sure it will be sufficient, just curious.

i know that my question is very subjective, but.... We have not travelled on any NCCL products and are used to Seabourn and Crystal. We like the itineraries, but are used to exceptional service and food when we travel.
Any travelers who have travelled on the premium lines, I would appreciate your comparisons. Interested in knowing if there are speaker onboard too.

Would like to do the South American itinerary, but have been on two cruises with executive chef Anne Mari. Her culinary expertise is nonexistent. The ship looks gorgeous. We are used to Crystal and Seabourn whose food is superb. Just have to decide, if the food aspect is that important.

If you are a past traveller on Seabourn or any of the Carnival lines it qualifies you for special pricing. The cruise that I am going on this summer in the Med was priced at a hair over $3,000 per person. My agent gives me 10% back when I return. A similar cruise on Windstar was 2700. I do not have a cavaliar attitude especially in this economic envirnoment, I even considered cancelling the cruise. Both my husband and I are celebrating special birthdays and fortunately did not have investments with Bernie Madoff. Beyond a doubt Seabourn is a fairy tale experience with menu by Charlie Parker, free flowing drinks( alcoholic and non), big bathrooms, full windows or sliding doors, as well as a table for in suite dining and while the service is nice on Windstar does your cabin stewart give you a choice of Bulgari or Molton Brown toiletries?Once the cruise is over I go back to being a suburban housewife knowing for a week I was treated like a queen and my husband a king.

I just read your posting about the charge for various beverages on Windstar. It is outrageous. By the time you add that to the cruise price you would be better off on Seabourn. I have been on both lines and thought Windstar was great after I had cruised on RCC, then I tried Seabourn and there absolutely is no comparison. Prices on Seabourn are not that much more, especially on European itineraries, when you include the fact that there is no tipping, charge for alcohol, cabins are suites with tubs, walk-in closets, stocked bars in suite and the food is superior. While you sip your free drink at the bar do they ask you if you want a shrimp cocktail or caviar?

Have my seats already and do not leave until Jan. We did a deviation and picked our flight. The TA secured our seats.
