We don't have a lot of money but we are generous tippers..maybe that is why we don't have a lot of money.

We found that tipping our steward $20 on day 3 & 5 got us nothing but empty wallets.

I have high blodd pressure for which I take meds. My BP measures between 14/9 to 11/ 7 with the meds. When I go on a cruise it goes up. I have asked that my meal at dinner be prepared with no salt.
Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon of increased BP on a cruise? Is there something inherent in cruising that could cause higher BP than normal...besides the salt in the food?
so many variables on a cruise. Eating too much volume and salt, too much sex, increased activity, stress, excitement, the hot tub, seeing all the girls in bikinis, running for the elevator,............on & on.

We leave jewelry that we are not wearing, and meds etc in our safe. No one has ever stolen anything from our cabin...I do see it is possible though. I guess if something is not being used, it should be in the safe. Even hotel rooms do not guarantee missing items.
Hope you got some resolution.

We only drink an alcoholic drink once a day with dinner. We don't see the need to go to the pay restaurants after trying one last time (so not worth it)I get my nails etc done on land before the cruise. We eat the free food & last time I bought a soda card & it was a waste so will eliminate that this time. We are taking a 5 day cruise out of Tampa (nearby) and will go on a more expensive 7 day on the Dream in 2010. We will get an inside cabin this time also. I don't need any more pics of us on cruises....haven't hung the last ones. No more market jewelry or gift shop specials for me. I think I just need food, and a place to lay my head.

I love cruising & my husband prefers land vacations. I hate being cooped up in a car for a long ride. I like not unpacking for a week. Wish we could agree more!

We were in 8356 on the Liberty, right under the pizzeria & pool. Amazingly, we only heard the chairs dragged a few times & late nites were very quiet. I was surprised.

Go alone....we have so much more fun that way & meet more of others on the ship.
Don't rebook excursions....rain!!!!!!!!!
pack, then take out half...you won't wear it.
take a power strip and air freshener. (yes, it is a small bathroom)
bring wine, water & soda on board
pre buy drink coupons & prepay grats
inside rooms are A-OK. Unless you love a balcony...we don't need one. we are NEVER in the room.
tip generously.
let people out of the elevator before you try to get on.
wear rubber soled shoes on deck....lots of slip & falls.
eat whatever you want....it comes right off after the cruise. They use lots of salt.
The cruise shampoos work fine...the wind will mess your hair anyways.
the pool water is cold and the hot tubs lukewarm, at best.
take a multi outlet cord
try a porthole.....they are neat.
make love often...keeps the hubby cheerful.
