Congratulations, it sounds like you guys managed to have a good time even if there were some hiccups! Just a quick question here, did they give you a choice of venue that included an outdoor option on one of the upper decks or were all of the venues indoor?

My fiancé and I chose the Carnival Horizon sailing on 12/8/19 and we are marrying on Grand Cayman. I am still figuring out if we will be doing one of the larger packages or the intimate package because we don’t know how many are coming yet. I have sent out save the dates and am now just waiting for people to reserve their rooms.
I am mostly excited about how much fun I know we’re all going to have (nearly half of our intended guests would be first time cruisers) We (FH and I) love cruising and I know people are going to have a ton of fun! We are also staying on for our honeymoon (my first b2b!![emoji924]) so I suppose that’s a bright spot as well!
I have started to look into welcome bags but of course I am realizing they are going to be 100% diy since I am particular [emoji854] I made my Save the Dates and all by hand because I wanted them to come out a certain way. I have yet to start dress shopping but I have time...
Anyways, congrats to you ladies! I can’t wait to see some of your inspirations!

You can not get a steak of that quality in the states for $35 ala cart. When you add, lobster bisque, or onion soup, crab cake, Caesar salad, you have a $100 per person meal at Ruth's Chris or Mortons.
This is precisely why we choose to dine in the Steakhouse multiple times on every cruise. Just got back from a 4 day on the Liberty and we ate there 2 nights, on our cruise before that we ate there 3 of 8 nights. It is definitely worth the fee and you won't find anything on land close to the flavor or value! Do yourself a favor and try it at least once!

2019 Brides!!
in Honeymoon & Wedding Cruises

Yes! Same here! We are getting married in December 2019 and we had the exact same thing occur with our $25 deposit cut off. I called in May to hold the rooms after I finished our Save the Dates and was basically given 4 weeks to have everyone place their deposit. I called to have it extended and they only gave me 1 extra week.
In addition to that many people were given different information each time they called. I specifically chose rooms on the 7th floor and when my guests called they were told they could get rooms on deck 1 or 2 and I was baffled because I knew my guests wouldn't want to be spread throughout the ship and multiple guests told me this was offered to them. Also, I was initially told when holding our rooms the $25 deposit would hold the room and lock in the price but after several guests made their deposits they said they were told this doesn't actually hold the room until they put in the full $250pp which isnt supposed to be due until July 2019. It makes me wonder more and more about booking my actual wedding package through Carnival rather than going with third party vendors, even the booking of staterooms has been a less than stellar experience.
