DH and I always eat Twizzlers on the flight down. We take naps! And, we stay up past 10:00! Something we don't do very often at home.

42!!! 6 weeks and counting.

As a wonderful member of my roll-call pointed out, the CONNIE has 5 days left of its current cruise, and 4 more cruises to complete before my cruise! :D

61 and counting!

Most of the sugar free desserts are very good.
Be aware of your "white" carb intake, as that can be worse for your blood sugar levels than sugar itself.

I cannot understand why anyone would take small kids on any cruise. It is no holiday for the little ones or Mum and Dad, and as this post shows folks will be unhappy with children in certain venues.
Take the little darlings to Disneyland or let Granma and Grampa spoil them for a week.Thats what my family does.
My thoughts exactly!!! OR, my even better option... I don't have kids!

OMG! When I read this I am just hoping RCCL will not try to put children at our table as that will be unacceptable. We are booked for Chef Table on Jewel in March and we are so looking forward to this as we missed out on another Chef Table due to the NORO virus on a previous cruise. Thanks for heads up as I will definatly be contacting the Chef to avoid this at our table, no matter how well behaved they are. Who wants to eat with sleeping children.
Especially when you are paying so much for a special dinner!

Why even bother to have rules if you are not going to enforce them??

Yep, Kopi Luwak , and it doesn't taste as good as it sounds, either. Sis bought me some as a joke - I'll try anything.
Still, it was better than cilantro - but then, everything is.
You must have the Cliantro "soap" gene...
I am with you on the trying anything at least once.

Could it be then that the percentage of roasted cockroaches per 100g gives the different brands of coffee a slighly different flavour!
LOL I got a good laugh over this one.
Did you know that some of the most expensive coffee in the world comes from the feces of a cat who eats the coffee beans, and they are harvested from the cat's droppings!!!

I love my Long Island Iced Tea, but the frozen Mojito on RCCL is pretty good as well.

108 days!!!

I'm with you on the Cilantro.... people used to think I was sooooo strange thinking it tasted like soap (dishwashing liquid, to be precise)....
Then I read that it is an actual genetic predisposition for a certain percentage of the population.... we can't help it...
One of my daughters loves cilantro, and the other one also thinks it tastes like soap... so apparently only one takes after me... :)
The same is true of brussels sprouts (which I LOVE)... there is a genetic reason that there are people who hate them.
Yes, your genetics will affect how Cilantro tastes! I prefer it in salsa, but everyone else in my family thinks it tastes like soap. Go figure!

I didnt even thing about that.. hate milk, but love cheese!!:D:DLOL
So many of my favorite foods come from milk! Ice cream, whipped cream, mac and cheese, cheese, hot chocolate, milk chocolate, the list goes on and on!

You get the dinner menu from your cabin steward and then call room service. We moved the little table to our balcony. We had a big balcony on the side of the hump on Equinox. We used that little table to hold the tray and put our food on the round table. We were in concierge class and I didn't think the round table was very big but it worked well in conjunction with the little room table.
We enjoyed dinner and many breakfasts on our balcony.
If we called and asked, room service seemed to have more than was on the menu. They had soup and some juices that we regularly enjoyed.
The food for us always came temperature appropriate. I wrote in a bagel and smoked salmon for breakfast every morning and got it.There is a room service menu in the X book and also on TV but it's not very large. They were accomodating.
We were on the Equinox TA. Room service was the only dining venue that got an excellent from me.
Thanks for the info!

While reading the "Cookies" thread on this board, I was reminded of another of my "grossest" foods...milk. The mere thought of having to choke down a full glass of milk makes me want to ...well, you get the idea. I'll never understand how the first person to ever drink milk looked at a cow's udder and said, "I want to drink what comes out of that thing."
Humans are the only species to drink the milk of another species!
Edit: Do you eat cheese?? That comes from milk!

wound it and send it in.
lol!!!

M class ships are due to lose the t-pools. How sad. The best t-pools were on the Galaxy, Horizon, Zenith, and Mercury. I'll miss them.
I don't believe this is true. The Constellation still has the T-pool (I look forward to using it!)

Creamy brains??? Excuse me while I make a dash for the bathroom. I won't even eat creamed corn.........
LOL Sorry to make you run for the bathroom!

Tripe
Brains
kidneys
Tripe is really gross, and kidneys/liver are nasty because they are filter organs, which mean they are bad for you. However, brains, when cooked properly are very good and creamy.

BroncosFan, I can think of two mass market cruise lines that don't have many children - Holland America and Celebrity.
Exactly why our next cruise is a 14 night on Celebrity.

My first cruise in the 80's was wonderful. All adults, totally relaxing. Now it seems like some ships are turned into floating day care centers, with kids running wild throughout the ship. Parents seem to feel that since the kids can't get off the ship they can turn them loose... and there are plenty of adult passengers to take care of them. Your children may be the center of your universe, but they're not my responsibility. If you bring them on a cruise, keep them in line.
I'm so tired of children infiltrating everything on a ship, from adult comedy shows to the dance floor in the disco at midnight. We've reached a point where we've told our travel agent to find a cruise with as few kids as possible. I wish some cruise line would dedicate a few sailings as "adults only" because I know a lot of people who would jump at the chance.
I feel exactly the same way!! It should not have to be a luxury cruise line to have an adult feel, but unfortunately, that seems to be the only way to avoid, unless you cruise the very long itineraries and are lucky enough to find a week or two where all schools are in session.

DH and I enjoy watching the ship dock every morning from our balcony. We also like to sit out and read while listening to the waves. The sound of the ocean is hypnotic.
