I will try to keep this as short as possible. I made a huge mistake and did not purchase vacation protection for our cruise of 1/14/18. We have been on 23 Princess cruises and I have never forgotten to take out coverage. Needless to say, 4 days before our cruise we were informed that my husband needed emergency open heart surgery. We cancelled our trip immediately. We already have another cruise booked for 2/18/2019. We have pleaded with Princess to transfer our cost of the cruise to the next cruise we have booked. We sent Princess a letter from the surgeon and a letter direct from us. We have been turned down twice. We were hoping that Princess would have some compassion for our situation since we have been such loyal customers and are Elite card holders. We are not asking for any cash back. We just want to go on another cruise. Everybody makes mistakes and I admit I made a big one. Please let me know if you think we should pursue this with Princess or we should just let it go and lose all are money. Thanks for your help:loudcry:.:(

It won’t hurt to pursue with Princess.

You have everything to gain. I’m sure if you are able to get to the top Supervisor, they would be willing to work with you.

Ordinarily, I would move to pass through and comment in a jocular fashion, 'It would be nice to have all day to stroll'. But, of course, on a cruise, I DO have all day ...:)

 

 

 

I become more upset at people walking 3 or 4 abreast who make no attempt to reduce their line to 2 when they see (or do they?) another couple walking from the opposite direction. And as for those morons who emerge from a door at right angles to you - and as they do so, they look back over their shoulder to yell (it's rarely quiet) something to the person behind them, so they collide with you because their head is facing in the wrong direction ... And Morons MkII who wander around plugged in to iPods or similar (or texting when ashore), completely oblivious to traffic, pedestrians etc. I think the Almighty must be in these last 2 categories because I've never heard of any of them being run over - but one day ... If I am in the street and I see someone texting and on a collision course with me, I stand stock still and wait ... It's always interesting ...

Try to spend a day, or more in the Sanctuary. It is peaceful and very relaxing. The staff up there is wonderful. You will love the treats at tea time everyday!

We were also on the Ruby that week. Much thanks, we love them!'

Also, all the officers at the Elite Platinum 2nd sitting did shake hands with passengers. I was a little surprised at that!

We just got off the Ruby, and we are fine. Everywhere passengers washed hands before entering and when exiting food venues.

We did do a total Clorox wipe of our cabin and every item in it.

Sorry the germ got you.

So glad you had fun on The Ruby. We will be on her April 19. Wondering if you were able to enjoy the Sanctuary!

What a horrible way to spent your vacation. That type of behavior is going to get him nowhere.
