  1. I have a bit of a different problem with the emails I receive. I am the one who books the cruises' date=' the excursions, calls them and asks the questions, the cruises are paid for with my credit card and all emails associated with all of this come to my email address. My problem - They all start with "Dear Robert". :p If Royal waited for Dear Robert to do any of these, the closest we would have ever come to sailing would have been watching reruns of the Love Boat!

Too funny! Same with us, my DH doesn't go near the computer but everything comes to us in his name! Wonder if it's a cultural thing?

  2. Will cruise in May on Freedom and then semi B2B on Majesty. We usually purchase our drink packages before boarding, but, have read that we might save a little on state (FL) taxes if we wait until we leave port and are out into the Atlantic. Seems petty to me but DH will squeeze a dime until it squeals-LOL!

When is the best time to purchase? Side note: last year on Majesty we purchased the package about 5 hours after boarding and got a buy one get one half price! So I guess it really depends on what the particular cruise is offering...

    Thanks!

  3. Just wondering, has anyone used QLS transportation for the Fort Lauderdale to Miami cruise port terminal?

We use QLS each time we sail out of Miami, they will pick up at hotel/cruise port and deliver you to hotel or airport. I think we pay $15pp each way. Nice shuttle vans and friendly company to deal with. Using them again next week as w fly into FLL, stay overnight and they will collect us around 10am to go to Miami.

  4. I just printed our Set Sail passes for our (sort of) B2B cruises in May. We get off the Freedom and next day board Majesty. I printed out the Majesty one and it looked like the others I have printed over the years, but, the Freedom one was only a 1/2 page. Although it had both our names on it there was no place to sign.... Has this happened to anyone else or am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks for any help!

  5. I may also be interested in a sunset cruise in mid-March, 2016 when we arrive on the Oosterdam. I see that HAL has one, I was hoping to do better with a locally based tour. We will be in port until 2300.

    Thanks for your info...

We are using Cap't Derek with Smallfield Adventures- google him, he has great reviews!

    Good Luck!

  6. I would like to do MJ out of PC. No real desire to cruise out of Miami unless there's no other choice.

Hi Bob, we are booked on Majesty May 16th, supposed to be her first cruise after refurbishment. Can you tell us what changes are now being altered?? Not the least bit interested in a water slide but wondering what else will/will not change. Thanks!

  7. Hello All! We will be in FLL @ Hyatt Place 17th Street March 5th before our cruise. Have ordered our wine thru Total Wine but we are looking for a small cooler (soft sided) to keep ice in our cabin on board. Some have said they are available @CVS/Walgreen and Publix, are any of these near our hotel or within a short cab ride??

Posted on our roll call also, thanks for your help!

  8. We were fortunate enough to have had a good mattress on our Dec 19th Grandeur cruise, we also contacted the special needs dept @ RCCL before sailing and asked for BED BLOCKS to lift our bed frame another couple of inches off the floor. Without these, we would have needed to crawl out of bed and over to a piece of furniture to help us stand. Be sure to ask for Bed BLOCKS, not risers or any other type wording....

  9. We are back on the 14nt Eclipse sailing March 6 2016, this is our third year in a row to visit these ports. We sail with a "Mom/Daughter" team, the Mom lives in New Zealand and her Daughter lives in Australia.. We met up on our first 14 night cruise and sail together each March. I know the flights are long, expensive and not fun, but, the reward is this ship, crew and the wonderful international people you will meet! I'm sure there is beautiful water, grass, mountains etc. all over the world, but you will find beauty and interesting folks on this cruise also. I will say "Go For It!" Happy sailing!

  10. Hello, We will be sailing on Eclipse March 6 2016 and last week received notice to print our X Press pass,I did this but am wondering when we can print our cruise documents? I am considering trying to print our luggage tags from them since so many have commented that the tags are not arriving by mail as they should....

On our Royal Caribbean cruises the page to self print luggage tags are in the cruise docs, is it the same with Celebrity?

    Thanks for any information!

  11. Tried for over 45 miutes Mon, Tues and this morning for online check in and finally called Captains Club! The lovely lady who took my call tried to do the check in for me and after 30 minutes, she sent me to a supervisor who was FINALLY able to complete it for me as I fed her our information! It's too early for us to order luggage tags so I guess that too will be an adventure!!

You can call 1-877-200-2897 for help...

HEY ATLEE! We are from the 360 side of Mechanicsville

  12. We have been on Grandeur many times, the crew is great for the most part, food is "cruise food", not 5 star by any means but you won't be hungry and lots of activities around the pool. Quest is fun, if you're not easily offended.... there are good musical groups at pool and in Centrum, Piano guy in Schooner Lounge is fun, also. Bermuda is Beautiful!!! You will have to try hard not to have a relaxing cruise although it will be Summer so expect an influx of "littles" onboard too! Just hope their parents take some responsibilities to control them :-( They didn't on our recent Christmas cruise (over 500 small kids) but that is usually a 1 time thing. Just relax, you will be on vacation going to a beautiful island on a great ship!

  13. We would pick #2 The Jolly Beach club in Antigua has a beautiful beach with breathtaking colors of blue water and the Calabazza catamaran snorkel and swim with the turtles trip in Barbados is the best! Gina caters to the older folks and her crew couldn't be nicer-google Calabazza cruises in Barbados. The Antigua beach has the nicest "miniature" sea shells, we bring some home each time we go.... Happy choosing!
