  1. I recommend:

    • Use the luggage express/valet program with your ship to get your check-on backs to the airport (and on to your destination).
    • Catch a taxi to the Hilton Marina ($10).
    • Catch the water taxi (http://www.watertaxi.com) for transportation and a narrated tour.
    • Get on and off as desired including getting off at the Las Olas Blvd stop (http://www.lasolasboulevard.com
    • Eat a nice lunch at one of the restaurants near a water taxi stop (some are listed on the website)
    • Catch a cab/uber to the airport by 3:30.

    Alternatively:

    • Use the luggage express/valet program with your ship to get your check-on backs to the airport (and on to your destination).
    • Be some of the last passengers off the ship (10-ish).
    • Take a taxi/uber to the Jungle Queen (http://www.junglequeen.com) or the Carrie B (http://www.carriebcruises.com) for their 11 am sightseeing cruises (last 1 1/2 hours).
      • If you chose the Jungle Queen, have lunch afterwards at nearby Coconuts (or walk further up the beach for lots of restaurants) and then walk the beach.
      • If you chose the Carrie B, the dock is one block off Las Olas Blvd so there are lots of restaurants to chose from.

[*]Catch a cab/uber to the airport by 3:30.

This is perfect! Our flight out of FLL on May 28th isn't until 6:20. This is exactly the info I needed. Thanks for sharing.

  2. After that we got some fresh air. It was very windy. We went up to Serenity on a hammock and it felt like we were being blown away. We went back to the room with the intention of heading to the comedy show, but DH said the Mega Truck excursion wore him out so we skipped the comedy show.

How'd the guys like the Mega Truck excursion? I'm interested in booking that one for May.

  3. You will love this place. It's one of my favorites. We enjoyed the meal and chicken. But of course food is subjective depending on the person. Although I didn't hear complaints from anyone in our party or the people we were sitting with at the table that were on our cruise. :)

The water was very calm, especially at the beach area. Me and 2 other girls I met (1 from our cruise and another from Carnival) hung out in waist deep water for hours talking and having a good old time while the kids swam around in the area. It was just a great little spot if you are not swimming. Plenty of knee-deep water in that area.

Honestly, the snorkeling is just simply amazing there. The water is not that deep and it's about the same depth all the way out to the drop off. You just may find yourself snorkeling around and end up at the drop off and not even realize it. It's not far at all and very simple to get to and do since you don't realize you are going out more. The pictures you see in my review will show you the depth of the water. I snorkeled the entire time, so they were all taken from me floating up on top of the water and I never dove down once. ;)

They have a HUGE shopping building, but we didn't go in it (we were wet at the time and were just going to the bathroom) but it looked like it had a lot in there.

Mitsugirly, the photos in your reviews are gorgeous. What kind of camera do you use?

  4. Thanks for the feedback. Pretty sure were going with Victor just saw that on Trip Advisor he was #14 and Rony #4 but they both seem to be about the same. Would like to do the driver for the day type tour but only our second cruise and DW is a bit unsure, lol

You wife sounds like my husband, LOL. I booked Victor for our visit on the Carnival Liberty May 2012 and it was great. Our driver was Victor's brother Francisco. He took us all over. It was very relaxed and we did what we wanted.

  5. An hour and 40 minutes and I'm all caught up.

Thanks Mike for another awesome review. So good to "see" the family again. Tell Arielle her beautiful face is missed :(

The Pride is BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm so excited. I justed book a Balcony on her for Sept 25. It's a girls cruise. Leaving the men at home :D

I think it's great that you met so many CC members on the trip. Everyone has a story and is fascinating getting a peek into not only your life, but the lives of those you encountered along the way.

Also, now I'm convinced, Mitch will one day meet his future wife on a cruise ship, LOL.

  6. The next day we drove the remaining 4 hours to Baltimore. On our way, we stopped at the Cheesecake Factory in Cherry Hill, NJ. Tracy’s favorite restaurant; beside my meal I had a cheesecake in the restaurant and one to go, yummy!

Ah.....you were the my neck of the woods!!! I live in Maryland now, but I'm from the Cherry Hill area and I'm there weekly!

  7. Hi Alysia, It's too bad I haven't been able to post the Destiny Fun Times yet, haven't stopped trying. Anyway, assuming you meant the evening shows in the Paladium lounge and keeping in mind that this is from a 4 day cruise and you're going on a 5 day cruise. Here they are:

    Day 1: Welcome Aboard Show

Day 2: Nightclub Express (Dancers, singers and orchestra)

Day 3: No show but at 9:45 p.m. Liar's Club

Day 4: Voila Paris (Dancers, singers and orchestra)

Thanks! This is helpful. Seems like the same shows from when we sailed Destiny last year. I was hoping they swithced up, but oh well. Guess I need to bring more donation money for the casio
