  1. At times during use' date=' I found the foot rests slipping off over the end of the original rest post. I cured that by going to a auto parts store, and bought 2 rubber O-Rings, 15/16" inside diameter X 1-1/8" outside diazmeter, and slipped them on the outside of the foot rest extension. ;) :D

We went to the store in Victoria this week to get extra belts for a cruise & we saw these larger foot rests. Hubby opted to stay with original ones but bought an awesome Healax massager! Just can't get out of that store without spending money on something! :)

  2. Due to back problems, I am unable to stand for any length of time or walk long distances (walking the length of some of the piers is difficult for me). I do not need anything around the house or to work, however, I need one for when we cruise and travel.

We have been looking at the foldable scooters by Tzora and Rascal as options for purchase. Has anyone used either of these brands? What are the pros and cons for each?

We are finding it difficult to find a distributor for the Rascal scooter. We live in Canada, however, since we are bordering Detroit we will probably purchase it in the US.

Any information you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked at the Travelscoot? http://www.travelscootcanada.com/

We first saw it on a Princess cruise last year, came home (Vancouver Island) and bought one. We will be sailing & flying with it for the first time next month. it fits in the back seat of our truck. I can lift it with one hand. My husband is a big man and it carries him around. All the info you need is on the website and there are blogs about it all over the web. Good luck.

  3. On the forms you fill out on the internet when you reseve your airline tickets and identify those flying, we fill in the box which asks about special needs/requests/other that I will have a mobility scooter. We don't call however.

When we bought our scoot, the protective cover for the 'gears and handlebars, was a small bag you inverted over the detached and dangling handlebars. We dutifuly did this until the day the scoot was returned with the "protective bag" off the dangling handlebars and loose in the attached canvas-carry-thing . Never 'protected' (messed with) them again.

Many folks drop the steering column down to its lowest level. We no longer do this either as I operate the scoot with the handlebars at a low enough level that my upper arms are next to my body, it is already almost at its lowest. I find it much less tiring, although I no longer look "Easy Rider" cool. If yours is higher and you choose to lower it, mark where it meets the lock on the column so that it is easy to lock it back in the correct spot on the jetway!:D

Always double check the parking brakes before you head up the jetway....speaking from experience.

Hi Marlee...Marly here. Do you still have the card we gave you on the Coral Princess? We bought the scooter and I have a lot of questions for you. Email me please. If you don't have the address, respond here & hopefully I'll get a notification & will reply.
