On my cruise last year my feet swelled up so bad. This also has never happened to me before. I had to wear my flip flops through most of the cruise and also about 1 1/2 wks after I got home. It became comfort before fashion just as Esther said. I at least made it through the first formal night but after that forget it. We were on the cruise for a wedding (5th day) and I was in a pretty peach pantsuit with these awful black flip flops. Couldn't even get the good shoes on. Of course after getting home I waited about a week to go to the doctors (after everyone was yelling at me) I was just waiting for it to go down. The doctor told me it was just fluid. No rhyme or reason. It could have been an allergic reaction to something I ate or drank on the cruise. Of course we all know that could have been anything. He didn't feel that I was in danger for any reason so he just let it take its course. Most likely he would give you a fluid pill to take but because I take blood pressure med the ingredient needed for the fluid was already in the pills I took. I hope everyone feels better soon. Don't worry it will go away, try to keep your feet up when your sitting if you can it will help with the pressure feeling.
