How do they manage the court? Are there sign ups or just put your paddles on the "screen"?

A tender ticket to get your number to load the tenders heading to GSC... don’t you have to get your tender ticket in order to line up? If you have a villa rented do you have any priority?
-
How early can we pull the tender numbers?

Thanks all. I will share your comments with my travel partners. Looking forward to the Breakaway - but I really like the Jewel Class so it will be fun to compare.

Anyone been to Wine Lovers the Musical on the Breakaway? Did you enjoy it? It looks unique and I'm thinking of reserving it but I can't find any comments here about it good or bad

We are cruising in May... looking forward to reading your review

Anyone on this forum sail on the December 14th sailing and write a complaint to CCL regarding our delayed boarding? And if you did have you gotten a response? Thanks... Donna

So what's the best plan of action to get to the cruise port given there are 3 parades that morning? We are staying at the Q&C Marriott @344 Camp Street ... I'm such a knucklehead picking that date for our cruise.

Although we did spend one night after the cruise in Copenhagen and stayed in the Hilton@ the airport for ease - highly recommend you book private transport. It can be easy to catch a cab OR it might be a nightmare. We took the train and it was a nightmare as some guy in front of me (who was from Germany) buying his tickets had a BIG issue with his credit card in the ticket machine. Not that that will be an option for you but just had to vent.

We've done both and I would vote Alaska - one way not round trip. Our Alaska cruise was on Princess. It was our first cruise. Hawaii is way easier as a land-based trip than Alaska. An after trying to DIY Alaska the cruise was cheaper.

I noticed that a part of the online check in we now have to select a check in time.... any advice from cruisers out of NOLA? The first time is 11:30 - 12:00 and the last time is 2:00-2:30. Other than getting on board early, waiting for the cabins to be opened, and have lunch - is there a "better" time to select? Thanks Donna

couldn't you just use WhatsApp?

So when we signed up for our cruise we selected "free specialty dining" - and I think I understand that for a 7 night cruise that really means that we can book 3 specialty dining nights - Correct? Today I reserved our dining and 2 of the reservations said zero charge but one said A la Carte on my vacation summary.... huh?

That seems very expensive for 2 days PP
Most are in the $300 pp range
Sorry, yes it was $600 total for 2 days for 2 people....
The Princess excursions were way more expensive at the time. If I remember correctly to be on the bus with 48 other cruises was like $500 p/p so it saved us $400 and we were a group of 18 with a guide that managed to get us in the front of the line for most of the attractions. Plus we convinced her to let us take the subway a couple stops to see the amazing Stalin era subway stops!

YIkes..... I'm cruising on NCL in February I hope they don't make me walk the plank! In my defense ... it was a very long time ago and that captain is no longer on that ship.
-
I'm bewildered that people order cases of water - bring a reusable water bottles for your group and fill your bottle for free. Not too mention less plastic water bottles not getting recycled
-
I'm sure it is ship dependent. We organized a M&G not only did the Captain come to meet us he offered everyone there a tour of the bridge. He swore us to secrecy though. It was a fantastic experience.

Sapphire Princess 2015 to Alaska (inside cabin) still my favorite ship
-
We booked a private tour - actually organized on our roll call thread. 18 of us for two days was only $600 p/p and it was terrific.

I agree that if you can afford it pick an itinerary that spends 3 nights and close to SPB. Although I loved our Star Princess Baltic cruise I would have preferred to skip Estonia and spent 3 nights in SPB.

I'm in the "why would you" camp..... it's just wrong. DON - Yep read Hitchhikers Guide.... what's the answer?

I have a large KYSS bag and I found it too heavy even with only my snorkel stuff in it...the chain is quite heavy. I used mine once and never used it again

Thanks for the comments. We will at least attempt to play....it's something to do on the 3 days at sea.
