  1. Hello, we did the Trinidad tour during last year's cruise. It was well worth the drive and cost. We enjoyed Cienfuego this year as well. I can't remember the cost though. We preferred the Trinidad tour more than Cienfuego. We did the Vintage car tour in Havana for $50 for 2 hours for up to 5 people. So get some friends and split the cost. We hired a car/driver that was across from cruise ship terminal in Havana (we have his name, email and number if you are interested). It was a cute pink convertible. I think you could negotiate a better price if you get away from the port terminal. The driver we hired spoke English well and drove us to some of the places we had seen during the ship excursions but also other places we hadn't seen., we esp. enjoyed the tour of the Hotel Nacional de Cuba.

  2. We just got back from a cruise around Cuba. We stopped at Santiago, Havana, Cienfuegos. We went to 7-8 different cigar shops, some were gov't and others private. We didn't find any of the Cohiba BKE or Montecristo #2, so have an alternative selection.

Also some of the shops increased the supposedly set price to make more profit. Check out this site for the set gov't prices of the Cigars, Rum and Coffee. http://yulcigars.blogspot.ca/

There was plenty of rum and coffee in stock everywhere.

  3. Thanks for all of the reviews and information, this thread has been VERY helpful. We are sailing within the week after planning this almost a year ago.

Is there any themed or costume parties in any of the ship clubs or bars? What are the dance clubs on ship like? We love to dance but it's more fun is others are on the floor. Thanks Ric & Jan:D
