  1. Our hotel is about 650 metres from Termini, so the IC or Freccia train seems like the best option for us if we decide to travel by train. We are undecided about whether to use the shared transfer or take the train. There are valid concerns regarding suitcase security on the train if your cases aren’t in sight during the journey. Decisions, decisions! 😊
  2. Thanks for your response. The shared shuttle transfer looks like a great option, especially if you’re travelling alone. I agree, their pricing model is odd, as it is the same for 1 or 2 passengers. Alan
  3. Thank you for your response. Considering we're arriving at the airport the day before our cruise and have booked a hotel adjacent to the Roma Termini station, I think we've got a great setup for a convenient journey to the port. Since we'll already be taking the train from the airport to Termini, it's likely just as easy to continue on to the port by train the next day. That being said, I do appreciate the idea of taking a dedicated transport to the port, such as a private car or taxi, for a more relaxed and hassle-free experience. It's definitely worth pricing out both options to see which one makes more sense for us. Either way, I'm looking forward to a comfortable and stress-free journey to the port with my wonderful wife! 4. Hi Host Kat, Thank you for moving my post to the correct forum. Yes, it has been several years since I last posted on Cruise Critic. I’m glad to be back in action again. Alan
  5. Yes, my wife and I can handle our luggage on and off the trains. Thank you for asking.
  6. Hello fellow cruise enthusiasts, I’m seeking advice on the best way to get from Roma Termini to Civitavecchia Porto for my wife and me. Some friends have suggested taking the train, which is quite affordable. For example, it’s around €21.20 for two passengers to travel from Roma Termini to Civitavecchia Port. From there, we could catch an Argo bus for an additional €2 each to cover the final leg to the cruise facilities. https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html Alternatively, booking a private transfer would cost €249, or sharing a ride would be €89 for both of us. https://www.civitavecchiaport.org/transfer/ I’m curious to hear about your preferred mode of transport to the ship from Rome. Thanks in advance for your advice! Alan
