  1. What a small world. My late husband and I were on the Sun Viking in 1984! I wonder if the same cruise. I will be on this one with 5 grown up granddaughters and my youngest daughter. Not really a lover of huge ships but chose this as there will be plenty to keep the family occupied. Also no flights involved for them. This will be my 3rd fjord cruise 2 on Azamara so I expect this to be very different. Excited to be on a ship and having lots of family with me.

  2. I'm looking at Barcelona to Rome! I had a back to back booked with Azamara and have family that were to join us on the second leg from Rome. Reluctantly I may keep that leg to avoid our family losing their deposit. Time will tell.

Thank you for the reassurance. I will get my TA to see what is available,

  3. The cruise we had booked on Azamara for Oct 2017 has been chartered. I am so disgusted I am considering jumping ship to the Royal Princess.

I appreciate it is a much larger ship but any information regarding the ambience on board would be appreciated. We are an older couple so would not appreciate a "carnival" atmosphere and loud music everywhere. We frequently sail with Celebrity and occasionally Cunard. We enjoy the shows, watching dancing, port talks.

Many thanks in advance for any input

  4. We are also booked on the Oct4th 2017 and the following leg to Barcelona. Not much point in doing the last leg without the first. I am disgusted if this trip is cancelled and will never cruise with them again. It is immoral to use people's deposits for months when they know the trip isn't going ahead. It is less than two weeks since they posted my OBC for the follow on cruise. My TA still hasn't heard anything.

  5. on our recent Infinity Cruise, this had to be requested if you wanted it, along with the afternoon snacks. Also gone the by way of the cuts was the leather folder with the headed notepaper, postcards and information. Everything was now found via the interactive TV. Flowers arrived in the room on day 3 with the card that said from the Captains Club, so if you are not a CC member guess they have gone as well.

Don't get me wrong, none of the above spoilt our cruise. I love the Infinity and the Summit but not deck 11 aft!

  6. We did complain of the noise, I also mentioned it on the end of trip survey.

Its a crying shame, ours was a Panama Canal cruise and the view was amazing, at least we were spared the noise whilst passing through the canal.

We are going down to deck 6 in a sky suite for our next trip. Much as we love Blue we will never book deck 11 at the back again.

  7. We have just got off the Infinity in 1130 a rear facing aft stateroom.

We could hear the films loud and clear when sitting on the balcony, what made things worse was when the film clashed with music in the Ocean Café. I couldn't read on the balcony when this occurred.

With the balcony door shut, very little noise, but then there is no use having a balcony

We will avoid this deck in future.

  8. Warning the sound from the cinema on deck 12 is annoying, also at times

The noise from the film Clashes with the music in the Ocean Bar

we have been driven in doors as the verandah becomes unusable.

With the doors shut the room is quiet.

  9. We recently as November 13 had our daughter and son in law for dinner aboard the Azamara Journey. I asked Miami prior to the trip but was told no, but asking at guest relations on board we were given an application form, supplied passport details, and bingo when we docked in Dubai they were waiting at the quay. it's worth asking. I might add a couple of other people had guests on board as well.
