  1. Hi

I live in Cape Town and organising your own tour would be much cheaper! There are lovely wine farms 20 minutes from the city center in the Southern Suburbs - Buitenverwachting, High Constantia, Groot Constantia, Constantia Glen, Beau Constantia, etc. The HOHO bus stops at a few of them and most of them will deliver to your home address. Also, don't forget to go up Table Mountain!

    Hope this helps.

  2. Hi All

We are an active couple in our 60's who are booked on our first Windstar cruise and need all the help we can get!

We have previously cruised with RSSC, Seabourn, Siversea, Celebrity and when the kids were young, Royal Caribbean.

I find the information on the Windstar official site fairly limited so I am turning to you for help.

Can we go to any restaurant at any time or is it the same as other ships where a reservation for speciality restaurants is necessary?

Where will we find the best cappuccino?

What are the little secrets that you have found out over time and wouldn't mind sharing with us???

    Best place for a cocktail?

Thank you so much for giving us some hints and tips!

  3. Hello

We are new to Windstar and are looking to book stateroom 428 on Legend. However when we look at the deck plan there is a gap between it and the next cabin - anyone know what is in this gap?

And also, it says it has a bathtub. Are we compromising in another area to have the bathtub?

Thank you so much for your help!

  4. Hi

Does Oceania have a system in place where a past cruiser can refer a new cruiser and they both get onboard credits if a booking is made?

I hope I explained that so that you understand what I am talking about😄

    TIA.

  5. Hello:)

Reading past posts it seems as if 8 hrs in port might be a bit short to do Pulpit Rock on our own - is this correct?

I am a very nervous hiker as I have an irrational fear of falling, but I would dearly love to conquer this challenge!

We are docked from 8am to 4pm early in June. What is the general consensus - will we make it???

  6. Hello:)

We have just booked a Norwegian Fjords cruise on the Quest for next year (first SB cruise), but because it is still 9 months away I cannot access shore excursions yet. My TA says they only become available 6 months before departure - is this correct?

Do we pay to do the zodiac cruises? Are any excursions free of charge? And lastly, how many zodiacs does the Quest have?

Thanks again for your patience in answering all these questions!

  7. Hello all

Suite 536 is next to the meeting rooms on the Quest. Never having travelled on Seabourn, I have no clue what happens in these rooms.

Would it be a quiet location or is it noisy because of the activity in these rooms? I have looked for a cabin review of this suite but cannot find one.

If anyone has been in this suite before, could you please give me feedback?

The alternative is suite 524 which is near the elevators. Is that a problem?

Thank you so much for your help:)

  8. Hello

We are new to Seabourn and were wondering if there is any thread that gives the positives and negatives of each suite? If I am looking at a suite on deck 7, is there any way I can find out what the location is like, is it noisy, etc? Or equally so for a suite on deck 5, do you hear noise from below depending on where your suite is located?

Does it make a difference if you are more forward on the ship? Is the Quest very stable and fore or mid makes no difference?

Sorry for all the questions but we are about to book our first Seabourn cruise and are trying to select the best available veranda suite!

    Thanks for your help:)

  9. Thanks for the help but just one more question!

Do you spend enough time in the section with all the castles?

Uniworld spreads it over 2 days but they are obviously more expensive. And they stop at Boppard - is that a good thing or not?

    What to do?????

  10. Hi

Does anyone have the daily information sheets for this cruise? I am trying to find out exact times of docking and leaving ports. The website is helpful but not

completely specific. I have a very detailed Uniworld itinerary and would like to compare the two.

    Thanks for your help:)

  11. Hello all

I am hoping someone can help me - we are on the Sea Adventurer with Zegrahm Expeditions 05 Jan 2104 and they won't have boots on board for us to lend (even though it is a Quark operated ship for the rest of the year and they do loan out boots!).

Has anyone rented boots in Ushuaia? I am wondering what selection they would have and what quality they would be? Are there limited sizes or do they have plenty?

Or should I just look at buying boots in Ushuaia and where would I do this?

To rent from Zegrahm would be too expensive for us and we don't want to be travelling beforehand with bulky boots!

Any help would be much appreciated:)

    Thanks.

    Jenny
