Interesting that with that big of a balcony that there is only one lounge chair. We had two on our Dawn aft suite, requested another one and all three fit just fine and still had room to walk around.

We have booked the NCL Jewel out of Houston next November and am just starting to look at options of flights, etc and the best way to get to port. I know we can probably take the NCL transportation but we really don't want to wait around till everyone else on the shuttle arrives. Was looking at setting up a ride with Super Shuttle to Seabrook or somewhere close to the port and then just taking a taxi. Does this sound doable and if so - any recommendations on which airport or hotel?

Thank you for the trip down memory lane :) . We were on the Dawn for the repo cruise in November and had a wonderful time.

We were on the Dawn for the 14 Day repo cruise a few weeks ago and were in AFT PH 10226 and it was awesome. Very large & deep balcony - we asked for an extra lounge chair and all three fit on it very nicely and we were still able to walk around. The Spa is above you and there was never any noise.

Picking a ship based on the chance of rain? Am I reading this correctly?

No - I was only asking about the overhangs on the balconys and stating that it was nice on the Dawn cause you could sit on them rain or shine.

I have been on both- what kind of cabin are you looking for? What are the ports?

Both are western routes to belize, honduras & cozumel. We are looking for an aft, either suite or balcony.

The aft suite on the Dawn was deep enough that we actually sat out during the rain with no problem. Would like that type of cover again if possible.

Looking at cruises for next November and because of my hubby's football schedule have narrowed it to the Jewel out of Houston or the Sun out of Tampa. Just off the Dawn and would love to do that ship again but the dates don't work.

Also any info on the balconies would be appreciated. Both look to not have as much overhead coverage as the Dawn. I love being able to sit out rain or shine.

Can I ask those of you that have used limos the approximate cost? Trying decided on a Nov cruise and debating whether to try Galveston. We have done Miami & Ft Lauderdale in the past and they are fairly easy to get to.
