September 25. This cruise has been all over the place! Went from $159 to $359 and everywhere in between in the last month.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Cruise is RT Los Angeles, 4 night Ruby.

Just waiting to see if the price drops again. We live an hour away from the port.

When is the last possible date for booking a cruise?

Took a taxi to the glass factory (in the middle of nowhere!) in Cabo to get a gift for a friend. Let the taxi go since we didn't know how long we'd be. When we were done shopping, had the gal at the desk call for a taxi for us, no answer with any taxi company. Evidently, when the ship's in port, taxis are a hot commodity! The gal kept calling, eventually reaching someone who said they'd send one right out. Two hours later, and long after the factory closed and everyone went home, a taxi showed up. Scary, scary couple of hours spent sitting in the parking lot with NO cel phone wondering how we were going to get back to the ship! Lesson learned: Have the taxi wait!

Those pictures are absolutely stunning! Cannot wait to do this excursion in July. It was the first one I booked. Thanks to all of you for the recommendation!

There's also the Magic Mountain Hilton Garden Inn which is the closest hotel to the park. A nice Marie Callendar's is right next door. Both are definitely within walking distance to the entrance.

We will be on the Grand in early July and would like to experience the Crab Shack. However, one of us doesn't enjoy seafood and would like to do the buffet instead. Is it possible for all of us to eat at the same table in the Crab Shack area of HC?

Wow! We'll be right behind you, on the Island Princess leaving Vancouver on the 8th, but we'll catch up with you on the train to Denali. We're also

staying at McKinley Chalet, doing cabin nite dinner that evening and the

Eileson bus on the 18th. Guess we'll be seeing a lot of each other!

Ports: Ketchikan - Lumberjack Show, Totem Bight Park, Creek Street

Juneau - Mt. Roberts Tram, Shuttle bus to Mendenhall,

possible museum

Skagway - Yukon Jeep Stampede, Klondike Gold Dredge Tour,

possible Jewell Gardens

Day - 8 Whittier to Anchorage via Alaskan Leopard to airport

Pick up DD and transfer to Ship Creek Comfort Inn for 2 days

Day 9 - Jet Boat Glacier Tour and Salmon Fishing

Day 10 - Train to Denali and Cabin Nite Dinner Theatre (8:30)

2 nights at McKinley Chalet Lodge

Day 11 - Denali Park Shuttle (8 hrs) and river rafting (6:30)

Day 12 - Late bus back to Anchorage

Stay 1 more night at Ship Creek Comfort Inn

Day 13 - Early morning flight home
