  1. our friends just came off the emerald this morning from a 10 day cruise. everything was perfect except the weather! food was good ate in the MDR 5 nights and had breakfast there as well.

we're going in March so I feel relieved after some bad reviews they didn't mention anything about the A/C but I will ask about it

  2. our friends who are travelling with us in March just read the most horrible reviews from people who just returned. what is happening to the emerald? same issues with water toilets a/c. filthy curtains on the cabin rude hostesses lack of fresh fruit. we are Canadians who are paying much more than the American people. for that reason we want our trip to be memorable.

  3. Thanks for the replies! I certainly wouldn't be upset about not having gelatto on board it's the other issues I'm concerned about unfriendly wait is not a good thing. it's true that there are complainers everywhere. we have friends sailing on a 10 day carribbean on the emerald next week so they will fill us in

once you're spending a fair amount for a cruise, you want to be special.

  4. we are sailing on the princess in March. we were looking forward to this vacation, now we're very uncertain about it, having read some very disappointing reviews. this is our first time on princess. we've sailed twice on NCL. I've read that there were many problems on the emerald - water A/C service not up to par, food not good etc etc. not want you want to read after you booked your cruise! I thought that since the ship was in drydock for 2 weeks, they would refurbish the cabins and have new wonderful mattresses - don't know if this is correct

is there anyone who's recently sailed on the emerald give me some insight. we were going to sail on the regal since it's a newer ship. now I think we've made a bad decision!

  5. We were on NCL Dawn in March - and our ice bucket was filled twice daily. We had plenty of hangers as well. Because we had to pay per bag on American, we tried not to take too many things with us. The clothes pins came in very handy - I used them when we dried clothing on the balcony and to keep our towels from flipping over on the lounges at the pool. I know that some people bring their own soft drinks, but I would never consider packing them in a suitcase. Wiping things down with Chlorox wipes is a great idea.
