  1. 🐋 We went with Jayleen's twice in June, 1st time with Jayleen and the 2nd trip with Amber.

We prefer the small boat (max 6) with local knowledge rather than the seasonal bigger more crowded boats.

  2. Hi,

We've started to accumulate some healthy points on RCI which has taken us up to the dizzy heights of Emerald :D

We have also cruised with Celebrity which as you probably know is the sister company.

Whenever we spoken the each of the loyalty reps of each company they have told us that sailing with either company counts towards each loyalty package, yes?

 So if I added my Celebrity points to my RCI that would make me Diamond  but how do I do this ?

  3. What about the men? would you say the majority dressed in lounge suits, Tuxedo's or good mixture of both:)

I think you could get away with both, I tend to wear a normal suit lately but was thinking of going back to a Tux, for anyone wearing shorts on the promenade (coz you can) :( you're either missing the point of a FORMAL night or you have little to no respect for the effort other people are making to look nice

  4. Because we could only book one show and one restaurant on line before we cruised we were at a considerable disadvantage when it came to booking the restaurants and shows we wanted when we wanted them, we wasted too much time queuing to try and sort this out and then didn't get what we wanted because other cruisers that were allowed to book six months in advance had filled all the allocations ! How can this be fair ?

For example we could only get one reservation for the Grande because of this situation so were restricted to one formal night and yet we talked to other cruisers that had five nights booked !

As we like traditional dinning your not really winning us over to dynamic if we can't even book it.

  5. Good luck with the weather, if it's nice you'll be in for a very scenic ride.

I had a lazy cruise in May and didn't expect the weather to be as good as it was.

I intend to go back and cycling will be a good option, especially in Flam where you can hire a bike take it on the train up the valley and cycle all the way back.

I spoke to the guy at the hire shop next to the free train museum he gave really good advice, I did this after we got back from our train trip and wished we did the cycle back :o

  6. I was there in April, I noted that there was bike hire available but it's a 44Km round trip plus the hike to the glacier to you'd better be fit :)

The weather there can be very changable so bare that in mind.

It was nice and sunny on the way up but heavy rain on the way back to the ship.

  7. :) Proberbly our best tour on the cruise, fast to get up and running, so much food and drink, lots to learn about this loverly island, special thanks

to the Fat man our driver :D just the best time.

  8. :) We Can't compare the two as we've only been with Thenford grey all I can say is the man is a real gent, he know's his stuff, he's got a nice big bus that he "shares with his bank manager" :D he was well organised we was off and away long before the rest, he knows the Island inside out.
