We're on Adventure this fall on eastbound and westbound Transatlantic cruises. There's 2 1/2 week drydock in between.
How much/what parts of the ship have you seen closed off/out of service in preparation for and after a short drydock?
I'm hoping kids' clubs and activities (splash pad, slides) will be open for the grandkids traveling with us.

Because of scheduling unknowns due to health issues, we're not booking anything right now.
It puts things in perspective. Once we can go again, we're going to GO.

On some cold weather cruises you can check out blankets like towels. Same place, on the pool deck.

We are also on that TA and I was watching and hoping to make it a B2B too, but when I saw the schedule it was not for us. I hoped it would go south but since it’s going north, I passed. But we’ll see you on the TA! You’ll find us in Schooner 😉
We'll be in the schooner bar, too!

I’m surprised they have 2 ship let alone one in china.
They make a LOT on gambling in Asia. Profits, baby!

Oh man. I wish they were getting Ovation to Singapore a few days earlier. Then we could have added that to our Anthem trip (Singapore-Tokyo-Seattle) and done an amazing b2b2b. Three days too early. Sigh.

I would actually be interested in the Ultimate Africa! Wonder when it will open for booking?

(in response to post that said Allure was looking fine .. forgot to click the quote button)
Agree. We were on Allure in January. She was in great shape from what we could see.

I was really hoping for Quebec! We did the snowbird migration from Quebec City to Fort Lauderdale in 2019. It was amazing.

We've been starting to eat our big meal at lunch. Including specialty dining, which is a much better value at lunch. HH 5-7 will reinforce that.

I still think they will cancel Anthem in Asia!
I hope not! That said, we are double booked right now on the Anthem Singapore-Tokyo-Seattle and a 12 night best of Japan X cruise. We're waiting to see who blinks first.

This?
https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/Deployment/2024_2025/2024-2025_Deployment_Summary.pdf
2025-2026 is not posted yet.
No, it was one of the search options on the website. It's been a long time since I saw it
-
They used to have a cruise calendar so you could see which ships were going where (and when). That would help to identify the current gaps in deployment. Is that calendar, or something similar, available anywhere?

Thanks all! Is there a limited number of complementary drinks during cocktail hour?
(thinking back to when Royal put 3 drinks on the card to use during happy hour, before Covid)
-
Is this in a lounge, or are drinks loaded on your card to use during that time. Does the lounge get really crowded?
-
Now that Ovation is in limbo after March 2025, I'm kinda hoping they'll take her to Singapore so we can get from Australia to our Singapore -Tokyo-Seattle cruises on a ship.

NVM, I just saw an ocean view balcony review and it looks like the TV mount just pops and swings outward like on the other ships. I usually bring a universal/programmable remote just in case and it looks like you might need a longer than normal hdmi cord if there's no accessible power outlet behind the TV.
We use one of the usb ports on the TV to power our Firestick.

I just bought the Meta Quest 3, watching movies while traveling will never be the same. Its the coolest thing EVER. Having a 15 foot 4k screen wherever I go is so cool!
I had no idea you could connect with your phone; I have an Iphone and there was not a screen mirror connect to the room tv. Don't know about Chromecast.
Chromecast is a pain because you have to create some kind of WiFi group. We bring our Firestick and hotspot from one of our Android phones or use a travel router.

I was just reading on Royal Caribbean blog that Icon of the Seas TVs don't have the ability to stream Netflix, etc from your phone. Is this true? What about if we bring a HDMI cable from a laptop, does anyone know if that will work?
You need to bring a universal remote so that you can change the TV input to HDMI. The cabin remote doesn't have that capability. We got this one, and it has worked on several ships: GE Backlit Universal Remote Control https://a.co/d/gxiJ2jf

Make sure to book Air2Sea and then you won’t need to worry about the cruise being cancelled. I always do this when flying International, especially when there are questions on whether it will even happen.
The Anthem Singapore-Tokyo-Seattle is part of a longer trip that includes Australia and New Zealand, so we have a lot of balls in the air. Can't book airfare for another couple of months. Hopefully things will get clearer.

What are you suggesting? Anthem will be cancelled and booked passengers will go to ovation? What about the singapore to Tokyo preceding this cruise. Can you please elaborate your thoughts because not everybody is looking this deeply at the itineraries. All I know is that the Anthem may not go via the Red Sea to Singapore. I am
booked B2B on Anthem from Singapore to Seattle.
thanks
Right there with you! Hoping this gets clearer before it's time to book airfare.
-
So, I'm going on the website, hitting "search cruises" and seeing 599 cruises. I figure as long as that number doesn't change, they haven't added the next batch of itineraries.
What do you think? Safe assumption or giving the website/ Royal IT too much credit?

124 Cabins left ... next day only suites?

We have done several JS guarantees. If booked early enough (and they go fast!) the savings are significant.
