Just a side note,be careful not to block off parts of the ship to other passengers. My worst experience on the jewel was it was a partially booked for a jazz group on board and each day they took over a venue. We were actually 1/2 way through a trivia game and they kicked us out because they said they needed the room .

I wish I had researched this more as well. The only reasons I booked thru ncl was I've never been there before and also read that tickets to aquaventure are limited and may sell out. I usually would have booked outside. One note to add I now know that I would come back to Atlantis for a long weekend trip if the opportunity exist. Beautiful park

There were more kids than I remember then on some if the other cruises, but not so much college spring breakers, like the other reply stated it was easy to find private enjoyable spots. Never felt crowded or impeded

5th NCL cruise - Dawn, Jewel, Epic twice
This is our favorite ship so far. Many features help make this a beautiful ship.
First impression the hull murals is much nicer in person than in pictures.
When entering the ship small open areas felt cramped this was weird but later made since in that it really makes you fell like the ship is not crowded.
The waterfront is beautiful anf very underused. Favorite part of the ship was on deck at sugarcanes( try the mojito and martini flights $15 for 6- 3oz drinks)
Cute interior area are by La bistro the have table outside the restaurant in the main corridore of the ship)
Illusionarium show was excellent( hot topic food was also very good, Burn The Floor very Good, Legally Blonde so-so.
I like the casino layout- smoke was heavy the first day seems okay after that.
Favorite Bar- Sugarcane, favorite breakfast and lunch(outdoor seating at flamingo and at Garden Buffet, Favorite free dining Tropicana, Favorite specialty dining Moderno.
Activities never long lines
must do's- Ropes Course (CLOSED SHOES), miniture golf, water slides( requirements on drop slides 100lbs-300 lbs, 4 ft tall. no jewelry), waterfall area at spice, Spice partys(welcome party , 80's party, glow party, fireworks(stand near moviescreen to see- not at tables)
no need- Bliss never busy, grammys
Cabins 12284 aft portside balcony bathroom were nice balconies about the size if you opens 1 lounge chair.
pools lots of loungechairs, two pools adults and kids good size but area around adults pool is small for events or pool games.
Soda packages we purchased nice to have but much cheaper to bring 2-liters on board if you can, also can purchase and bring on soda from ports.
Adult beveage package not offered March 1st - April 15th too many spring breakers were sharing there alcohol with not paying so the do not offer during this time period- Both packages are very hard to benefit from.
And Last The Port of Calls WE did this itinerary for Atlantis
St Martin- ughh looked at shops and lunch, been there before
St Thomas - own our own went The Megans Bay Shuttles outside ship $8.00 each way person, $4.00 dollars to enter beach area so $20 each well worth It
Nassau- Ok here it is Do NOT DO THis Excursion Through THe Ship- We paid the $159 each for the half day Atlantis AquaVenture was supposed to be a 6 hr excursion from 12:15-6. We were the 5th ship in port got off the ship at about 12:45 stood outside the ship for 30 mins where they gave out 200 braclets to atlantis, we then walked 10 mins to shuttles , when wated to get on shuttles about a 30 mins then 30 to get into atlantis area so we got there at 2pm- we had to laeve about 5 to get back on board by 6:30 time. so we had 3 hours. Nice park but do it on your own $4 each way water shuttle it take 10 mins to get therethen a full day paas at aquaventure was $139 at the entrance. And last the other ships were there before use and left after us had alot more port time and excursion time and carnival only charges 150 for 8 hrs.
Definitely experience this ship it is beautiful, staff is friendly except out room steward never really said hello. Alot of othe cruiselines will take ideas from this Ship. Please ask if any questions.

Does anybody know if there will be a place to watch the ncaa tournament onboard. I will be on the getaway march 15th. Previously on the dawn i only found one small tv that showed sports. Big sports fans.

Prepay a good amount at the service desk when you get onboard. I do this for my gratuities so I don't worry about it during the cruise. Go on the cruise with a positive attitude. Also look for drink specials. Like buckets of beer or 2 for 1 martini's

I called ncl they only book 10% of the shows online. When 10% is filled for each show each day they close the reservations. When you board the ship then immediately make reservations. The reason they do this is that everybody doesn't realize you can prebook. So in the past passengers were upset they couldn't book any reservations. This now gives more people the opportunity to see some entertainment.
