  1. We are currently on the Neiw Statendam- and a couple weeks ago, I thought- What the heck, why not sign up for the Stand-by program- so we did- and I just got an email saying we are going!  We have been assigned a VB stateroom, and will get off the ship on Sunday and get back on the same day.  We will get our laundry done Sunday Night, as we packed for only 1 week.  We are thrilled!

  2. We have a cabana booked for this Sunday - but it doesn’t show up on our navigator app as our thermal suite and internet purchases do- should I be concerned?  I have the email confirming our booking, I just am wondering why it doesn’t sho up on our app.  TIA.

  3. We are booked for an October sailing on the Valor.  I was wondering if the open space showing up on deck 10 forward is an actual public deck?  Has anyone noticed? It would be on all Conquest Class ships, I think.  TIA.

Actually , YES I did watch the Rotterdam crew rescue those lost souls. The thing they were riding on was peeling apart before our eyes. (I have the pic to prove it) . The Rotterdam crew, Outstanding. In the mix of a Hurricane, in the dark rescued those souls. Nothing else was not an option. Our accolades to them are to stand. If you were not onboard, then just smile and know HAL came to the rescue!

Hi, I received an email today from Holland America that said there was some information currently missing from my check-in. We are Canadian and it says that there is information “missing or incomplete” about our “U.S. address while in U.S.”

I looked at our check-in again and I couldn’t find anywhere to add this info, and every section had a green check mark except the last Health part which I can only do 3 days before the cruise. Can anybody suggest where I might find a place to provide this info, or if I should worry?

We had the same notification for our Nov. 19 sailing.  I couldn’t find anywhere to fill in the info, so I called a number that I found on the web site-  it MIGHT have been +1 877-932-4259- but if not, keep looking for a customer service number- the person that answered filled in the form for me- there was nowhere for me to fill it in myself.  Since we are Canadian, we needed to give a US address for before and after the cruise, since we weren’t flying.

  6. I called the 1-800 number, and the retreat is already fully booked.  They informed me that the $149 is actually for 2 people………but I don’t totally believe this……….online, it looks like I have to buy 2 separate passes…….maybe I will just get the one, and hope for the best…..and then buy the other on the ship if its not true………thoughts?  Anyone with experience in the last while?

  7. We have just booked the Nieuw Statendam Nov.19-26.  Very excited to finally be cruising again.  We wanted to look at reserving a cabana spot in the Retreat area, but it isn’t showing up for me?  Is there a certain time when this starts to show up as an option?  Also, our last cruise before covid had a couples pass option for the Thermal Spa- but I am only seeing the single.  If you have any insights please, and thanks

  8. MyDH and I are booked for a Panama Cruise this April on the Volendam.  Only cruised 5 times, and this is our first Holland trip.  We purchased a Thermal Suite pass for an Alaskan Cruise, and loved it.......my questions............have you still used the Thermal Suite when you have cruised in warmer areas?.............is the Thermal Suite available during Port days, if we don’t feel like going ashore?................What typically is the cost for  20 days for a couple?................. How big is the Thelasotherapy pool on the Volendam?...................... How many steam rooms, and are they aromatherapy?...............What are the typical hours of operation?................ any other insights that you may have, as we are fairly new to the whole thing..........

So I am a bit naive as to the concept of switching........could someone please explain the ins and outs..........when you say PCC......what does that mean? Etc.  We have just found I guess what is called a big box online, that we call in to book out tickets.  Didn’t realize all the other options or ways.

A PCC is a dedicated person at HAL that books our cruises. They build up a personal relationship and know our preferences.

HAL's rules allow a booking made by a PCC, or their general call in department, to be transferred to any Travel Agent prior to final payment. Often the TA involved adds perks, mostly on board credit, to sweeten the deal. The TA then "owns" the booking and must be the one called if you have questions.

Thanks for some clarification.  It’s appreciated
