  1. Thank you so much for posting! We were on a Seatle to Seatle cruise in 2011..........in 2014 we are planning another cruise to Alaska and with your pictures and review will help us get over the months and months of waiting!

I have to re-read your posts and everyone in my office came in and wanted to see the pics!

Again thank you for posting such great pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. This post from Santo3, plus attached photos are the best I've seen. They are from Freedom, but the cabins and balconies are identical. Notice the opened sofabed in the first photo!

I am sure we will love the 1400! We have looked into less expensive cruises, but, have our hearts set on this room! Our son is one who goes to sleep early and of coarse rises early, so yes are in the room for a while at night so we will be able to enjoy the balacony! Thank you for your pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Oh get out of here! No Way! Shanna - me and Mr. Jailerman go WAY BACK!!! Why didn't you say he was going on the 3/28 cruise? (LOL - wait knowing him he will be changing his mind 100 to 200 times before then!) I'm still thinking and dreaming, hence my reading Cruise Critic posts over my lunch hour... I haven't talked to him in forever! Found out last year he lives the next town over and works with my cuz at the jail. SMALL WORLD!!!! Bye talk to you soon! Kim

Kim, This is the guy who i said his "FREIND" was going too and I might have upset her! Dont you remember? Now, things are ok. I think everyone wants to PARTY In our 1400! Kurt is right below us, on 9! In the room I told you to get! See you could have had it, but NO, you waited and Kurt took it again! See what a fun time we will be having?? See you need to be going too! I will let you come over to our party hut!

How did you like the 1400 AFT on LOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Well if you are bringing twister, I think all the kids will be at adventure ocean till mignight, then we can get them for nap time! LOL! You are too funny!

Oh we have not discussed the child care payment plan!

1st I love a bloody mary after breakfast

2nd I love coconut rum and coke with lunch

3rd I love fu fu drinks till dark

4th I love more coconut and rum at bedtime (helps me sleep)

If we can work that payment plan out, I can find room for an adopted child for the week! Maybe I can claim him on my taxes too??? HE HE HE

  6. I just knew that the Queen of AFTS would come through in the end..:D Thanks Bonnie.. Shanna ? What time after Adventure ocean should I drop him off ? Midnight ? 1:00am ? :D You tell me ? :D

Well if you are bringing twister, I think all the kids will be at adventure ocean till mignight, then we can get them for nap time! LOL! You are too funny!

  7. Well here in Michigan it feels like it is cruise time......it will be 90 with high humidity today!

Just found the thread Mr. Jailerman was chatting about, GREAT PICS, and I am pretty lucky to have the 1400 room!

I now am getting anxious to tell ZT and his cousin Luke that we are taking Luke! I want to spill the beans about our room too, but, want that to be a suprise though! RRRRR, so hard!

  8. When I posted that answer, I didn't realize that Jailerman's cabin doesn't have the pullman, only the two twin beds. :( So, you will notice that I went back and changed my answer! But, since I now realize that YOU are on the same cruise and have that HUGE cabin, I think it is only fair that you let Mr. Jailerman's son come sleep on a rollaway in YOUR cabin, so Mr. Jailerman can have his BIG bed to himself! ;)

See Mr. Jailerman? I solved your problem! :D

Ok, I am sure he will like that idea! Now I have a pullman in 1400 right? Or are their 2 pullmans??? I have DH and I, plus 2 kiddies!!!! But, hey 3 will be cool! I am sure, we can work something out!! Drinks for the week? Or I am sure I can work out a nice childcare fee for Mr. Jailerman! :)

I cannot find the thread of the new pics he is talking about, do you know where it is at?

    LOL!

  9. Your son will LOVE the pullman bed in 9406! He can drop things from the bed in the middle of the night and watch them land on dad's head! It'll be great! :D I think you would be hard-pressed to squeeze a rollaway in this cabin, but a rollaway will be no larger than the pullman bed anyway, so why bother and deprive your son the opportunity to torment you from above? ;)

I love it! Here is a pic of ZT getting ready to tickle Jeff's feet on our Enchantment cruise in 2008! Remember Twister is not allowed in the Pullman Jailerman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Hello Again Bonnie:), Well ever since that Thread started "Freedom Class AFT Balconies" running a day or two ago with the BEST AFT PHOTOS of the Freedom that I have EVER SEEN, I could not help myself but to re-claim that 9406 AFT Balcony Cabin.. I have even added it to my signature so I must mean it this time :D.. #9404 is also still open but the Balcony looks smaller and cramped. I really wished that this cabin had a sleeper sofa though as it will be myself and my son and I'm a pretty big guy whom has always booked older ships and booked Suites so I had a full size bed and he could have the full size sleeper.. But RCI is having a capasity control order for this cruise with spring break going on and wont give me a cabin with just two of us with a sleeper bed in it :D.. I know that 1404, A D-1 is still open but not bookable with only 3 people... I wonder if their is room or if they even would place a roll away in that 9406 if I took care of the cabin steward ($$) right from the start ? HUMMMMMM ???;):D

    Bonnie,

Don't let him fool you!!! It was not the pics, it was the LOS Spring Break Threaders he wanted to be close to! He felt all alone in that room so far away from the wild and crazy AFT'ers!!!!!!!! LOL! We are real excited to have Jailerman 1 deck below us! I am sure his move had nothing to do with how Great his UPPER DECK pals are, but, we like to think so!

    AGAIN, PARTY IN 1400!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. You've got a full slider in 1400/1700 and these are my favorite cabins! The cabin itself is so roomy! The balcony is nice too, more pros than cons in my opinion! Enjoy!

Thanks Bonnie! We are really getting excited now as our thread is finally getting some posters! This will be our 1st "longer" cruise and are hoping everyone will sign up for the meet and mingle! We are really looking forword to being alittle more experienced than the last 2 cruises! Yes, the room looks great for a family of 4 and a quest or two for entertaining! COCKTAILS ANYONE?

    Thanks for your comments!

  12. Well if everything I am reading is right, you pretty much cannot go wrong with an AFT..................we are really thankfull for our 1400 aft on LOS, RCI. Not like it matters but, does it have a slider or regular door going to balacony?

Does anyone have any tips for us???? This will be our 1st AFT and also only our 3rd cruise.

  13. What would you like to know? 1400/1700 are my favorite cabins (and their counterparts 1388/1688 on Voyager-class ships). Here is a link to my photos of 1700 on Freedom, which is identical but mirror image of 1400...

Thank you for the pics! This is a suprise upgrade! DH and son havent a clue --- I hope to keep it a secret until we board! I still have the nephew's going a secret too!

Please give us any tips or suggestions as this is only our 3rd cruise!

About the balacony, with it's position, it does get both sun and shade right?

We were pleased to get this room tip from a young lady who just might be going on this same cruise! We have now become friends and I have assured her she can use our balacony and share the days events with us! LOL!

  14. Hello neighbor, we are in 1700 on the March 28th sailing. :)

WOW!!!!! Nice to meet you! We are from Michigan, Mt. Pleasant to be exact! Party on 10th Deck!!!! I am really excited this is our first balacony. We are a party of 4.......DH, Son, nephew and myself! I have a few "suprises" planned, 1st our nephew has never cruised before and we have not told him (luke) and our son (zack) yet. Zack knows he's going but has no clue about Luke!!!! 2nd I upgraded to the 1400 room after reading a cruise review on this CC site!!!!!! I am really excited to find someone so close who we might bump into!!!! Are you registered for the M & M???? There is a roll call started and there are only a hand full of people listed so far! I am just thrilled we will actully "know" someone! Hey one night party on our balacony! Oh Sorry, my name is Shanna.

This is DH and I's 3rd cruise all with RCI, son's 2nd, and Luke's 1st! I am sure by reading the reviews this ship is AWESOME! DH and I started out our cruising with Enchantment in the CAVE cabin, then went to Ocean View now to a balacony----maybe presidential Suite next???? HA HA!

Again, Pleasure to meet you! Please email if you would like:

We look forword to having drinks on the cruise!!!!!!

  15. I have 1400 booked on Liberty for March 2010. There is just me and Hubby in our room. I enjoy a big balcony over cabin size. Like to have others over for coctails on the balcony. Should I switch to 1402? Is 1402 a D1 or a JS? Does 1402 have a bigger balcony? How much smaller is the room in 1402 compared to 1400?

HI there, We also have booked 1400 in March of 2010! We will be on the March 28th sailing!

  16. On our 1st cruise 2 years ago, being a country girl several of the "dishes" were NEW to me. I had sushi with a huge glob of WASABI.................OMG, I could not just spit it out, but right at that moment that the heat of the WASABI and taste of the fish hit me the waiter came to the table. I was in pure agony....the heat, the taste, the tears in my eyes! The waiter thought I was choking! My DARLING HUBBIE was laughing so hard he made more notice of my "condition"

To this day I try everything "new" but in bite size portions!!!!!!
