  1. I just came to this forum looking for excursion ideas and seeing some wild flamingoes sounds cool 😎

Someone posted they book a Twizzy Tour by Roadrunner Bonaire to see the wild flamingoes. I am going to check it out myself.

We're booked on the Pride out of Rome in September 2022.  The Pride's theme for decor is Europe with Italy being the main focus.  David's Steakhouse has a somewhat smaller but otherwise fairly convincing replica of David in Florence.

We've sailed Pride 4 times before and we've been on 21 cruises total, all Carnival.

We were struck by the value, but also a chance to see Pompeii and Taormina again, and Mykonos and Santorini for the first times, plus add another country to our "been there" list - Turkey.

I will be sailing on the September 21, 2022 cruise out of Rome!! I really want to book excursions but only see a few listed on Carnival's site. It looks like you have been to Europe before. Any idea about excursions? Also, what is the BEST way to get from the airport to the port?

  3. I plan to sail in 2022 to the Mediterranean and would REALLY like to do it on a Carnival ship. I know that with the change of shipyards, it won't be possible except when an older ship gets refurbished. Have there been any announcements lately about any ships having this done over in Italy? Or where could I find this information?

  4. Sounds like one the suites. I am that exception to the "how much time do you actually spend in your cabin" rule and would just at a chance for another Suite. Love the room, the balcony, the perks [emoji4] If you can afford it, I say just go for it!

  5. We took our very first cruise on the Dream and loved it ! But then Princess did the Royal, and we bailed. I would really like to do another Carnival cruise, but I'm so afraid I'll wind up on one of the ships that look like Las Vegas threw up on it. Can some CC Carnival cruisers tell me which ships are normal and which ones require sunglasses ? I already know the Dream and Breeze are beautiful, and of course the Vista. Carnival is always doing refurbs, have they removed the flashing polka dotted stripes from the main areas of some of the older ships ?

Thank you for any help you can give me,

For me, I love the flashy Vegas decor [emoji3] It's fun and exciting and puts me in the mood to cruise. I've been on the Breeze and found it to be too subdued for me. To each his own I suppose [emoji854]

  6. I leave Saturday out of FLL and nothing about a delayed ship, a ship itinerary change has been relayed...yet.

I leave out of Miami on Saturday too [emoji4] I've checked the ports of call for our sailing and, unfortunately, it looks like it's going to rain in 3 out of the 4 ports. It happens. Just going to make sure I bring an umbrella

  7. This make absolutely no sense to me!! This ship is smaller than the Miracle and only sails short cruises, yet the Miracle's 2.0 upgrades are lacking guy's burgers and the Blue Iguana Cantina:rolleyes::rolleyes: What's up with that?:mad::mad:

Probably because the shorter cruises tend to be more profitable for Carnival. I wish the California ships could get balconies retrofitted [emoji4]

  8. I recently did our online check-in for Conquest (our sailing is after the implementation of the staggered process for FLL) and I was not asked to pick a check-in time slot. Perhaps it is because we booked a suite??

I would think that would be the case. Doesn't matter what time you check in since you will wait in the designated area for suite passengers. Suite passengers (along with Diamond and Platinum and bridal parties) will always board first

  9. I did a google search and I know that 4 means inside view, 6 means outside view, and 8 means balcony, and 9 means suite.

I do not know what the letters mean - a,b,c,d etc?

The letters refer to the various levels within the stateroom category. For example, a 4A is usually going to be the lowest interior room (with the exception of a 1A) while a 4G or H is going to be found on the upper decks all the way to the last deck of cabins. The higher the letter, the more desirable the cabin. Does that make sense?

  10. My friend sailed on Princess recently and was able to attend a Zumba class. I know that when I was on the Miracle last year, there was only some Yoga and Stretch classes offered. Do any of Carnival ships have Zumba classes? Would like to do something more than machines or walking the track.
