Dinghey's has paddle boards and kayaks, and on really busy days there's a guy in the middle of the beach that rents sea doos.
Thanks

Has anyone done the Kon Tiki excursion lately? Wondering how it is and if you can rent SUP boards at the beach. Thanks
-
Are you on your roll call for your sailing? I’ve never had a problem with finding people to join an excursion. We sailed with Aristocat. We were able to book individually. It was a good day until the skies opened up. My only complaint was lunch was hot dogs and cold cuts. They ran out of some salads.

I'm not sure, we did the full version, which was about $25pp after their online discount.
Wow, that’s a great discount. I only saw the $45 option.

Is the $18 option good enough? There are 4 adults and one child. Although the water slide/pool looks fun, I think we’d rather swim at 7 Mile Beach.
-
What port is this excursion available?
Thank you.

Thank you sooooo much for this post. We are on the 19 day Panama Canal cruise next month and could not find much info for the ports. Your blog helps a lot.
Theo
We are doing the 19 day partial transit in Sept 2019. Our plans are
Huatulco-DIY beach day
Puerto Chiapas-Izapa Arch site
Puerto Quetzal-Antigua on our own
Puntarenas- ???
San Juan del Sur-visit Granada
Manzanillo-Turtle Sanctuary
could you please report back back if you did any of these and/or what you did?
Thanks!

My husband and kids are doing this in 2 weeks. I’ll try to remember to report back.

I can’t remember the exact cost of taxi but there was a group of us from the ship that rented a taxi van to go together. I’m guessing maybe $10/pp. we went in 2016 and I’d go back if ever in MoBay again.
I liked that vendors werent allowed on the beach. Some people were approached in the water, security yelled for them to leave.

Great video, that water is absolutely gorgeous.

Thank you so much.

Are the taxis regulated? I’m cruising with 2 girlfriends. Usually I’m with my husband and not too worried. We’d like to go to Soper’s Hole and then around to the beaches. Safe enough? Thanks so much.
Has Soper’s Hole recovered from the Hurricanes?

I’m new to Princess but have sailed Carnival. Is the Sanctuary like the Serenity Area on Carnival?
What is the charge for the loungers? Thank you

We are taking the CoralPrincess out of LA in September 2019. We usually cruise the Caribbean on Carnival so ALL of this is new to me. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

1. On embarkation, ignore the signs that say the staterooms are closed. Just push your way in and drop off your bags in the cabin. No one will stop you.
2. You can use the platinum line at guest services, the don’t check status.
3. Make sure to bring cute little trinkets for your cabin attendants, they will appreciate the personal touch more than an extra cash tip.
4. Bring magazines from home that you have already read. These are great for saving chairs around the pool, so you can sleep in.
5. Just kidding [emoji14]

Has anyone done the $45 package? Wondering if it’s worth for a family of 5.

Packing is complete and the Uber is arranged for 08:30 tomorrow morning... Next stop, Miami, including happy hour, as well as a tour of culinary delights...

Cracks me up, I’m packed AT LEAST the weekend before and although I’m a light packer, I at least need a real suitcase but I’m packing for two. I liked Vista, was with 6 other couples Feb24-March 4 8 day Eastern, fantastic time

Huge purple grapes on the walls in the MDR, that’s what I remember. I liked the secret (Gatsby) walkway too. Enjoy.

I think if the major lines wish to keep their market share of shore excursions, they either need to compete on pricing (especially when selling the exact same tour) or offer additional loyalty points.
I for one am now finding it impossible to justify the extra cost.
Cheers
If you find the EXACT same excursion, Carnival will price match

Our excursions are for Cozumel (Elite Champagne Catamaran Sail & Snorkel), Belize (Sharks, Rays, Barrier Reef Snorkel & Island Escape), and Roatan (Dolphin Swim & Snorkel).
Thanks for the advice!
We did an excursion in Belize that I think is similar to yours, snorkeling then visiting Caye Caulker. Went thru a company I probably found on Trip Advisor. This was back in 2010. Lovely time. The only place I’d visit in Belize thru the cruise ship in the ruins that are 7 hours total travel time. Not a lot of wiggle room there. Have fun and enjoy whatever you decide.
-
Thanks, that is a good point. Don't think any of the excursions I'm looking at will sell out since we are the only ship in port on most days.
I think she was referring to selling out on your sailing which could happen.

Wow that art thing almost looks like a crime scene! Yuck!! Looks like a few candies scattered among some nasty red splotches. Really???? This is what someone came up with?? No cheesecake??? Oh well. By and large I find Carnivals desserts to be so pretty to look at but completely lacking in flavor. It always sets me up for such disappointment! Lol I see such a tasty looking treat but when I bite into it, it’s like what???? Where’s the taste???? I always wonder what ingredients they are using to make all the desserts (well almost) be so so.

Totally agree with you. Only dessert I truly love is the Creme Brûlée and chocolate cake from room service.

No actual code but I booked one using my Barclays Carnival credit card and got a 10% credit card statement credit.
Carnival Half Moon Cay- When can you book?

Any opinions to the best cabana to choose if you want to be close to the food pavilion and bars? My husband has difficulty walking distances so need to be somewhat close. Thanks.
