This response explains why it sounds as if your communication was through email.  I thought you were dealing with a Carnival PVP but you must have an online travel agent.  I assume you must have a group rate or something that makes it attractive to leave your booking with the TA instead of booking with Carnival directly.

Go to Kayak and check out what flights look like for your dates and locations.   Write down the information for the flights that you would like to book and then contact your TA with the specific information.  Be aware that those lowest priced flights you find may not include seat assignment or luggage costs.  It will still give you a good idea what price range is reasonable to expect in Carnival’s response to your TA.  See what he finds from Carnival once he has that starting information to work with.

Thank you!  Will give that a try.

This is true, but he should work on your behalf.  Tell him what others have found here and have him go back and get a require.  If nothing good, tell him to get you best prices outside of fly2fun.  We have had zero issues getting clients great pricing.

He strictly does cruises.  Only way he can get us flights is through carnival.  Are you a Ta?

While it is true, it is fairly labor intensive and some are better than others, we have used them many times and never had anything BUT good service and results.  Op, I would try again, how did you book?

We booked thru a TA so unfortunately he has to book the airfare too

reality check, on Expedia, Des Moines to Barelona and Venice to Des Moines on August 30 for a random 2 weeks, $1300 coach and $3300 first or business class. Not sure where you got $11,000, we have flown to Thailand first class for $4000.

I know. Like I said I’ve been searching everything. Carnival came up with the $11000. To be exact  $11937

I am doing the Europe cruise August 30th, fly into Barcelona and out of Venice.  The cheapest price i could get on my own $1560 pp., Fly2Fun was $750 pp.  It wasn't cheaper for last years cruise out of Miami but it certainly worked for us this cruise.

How far out did you book your airfare?

From the fly2fun department?  There is certainly an anomaly here, something missing.  Look at all the posts around you.

I know it. I thought he made a typo and it as supposed to be $1100 and he replied back no  I realizeDes Moines isn’t a huge hub but shouldn’t be that high

If you book through a TA, you do need to go through the TA to call.  I am my sister's TA, so I called for her, and then called the TA I used, who called carnival on my behalf.

    Thank you!  That’swhat thought.

What do you mean by luck?  We booked our flights for our upcoming march '20 cruise through fly2fun.  We had 4 rooms booked 3 different ways (2 different TA's, and a pvp).  We all called in and got it taken care of pretty simply.  The price was about 10% more than the quoted price from Delta, but we were able to use carnival gift cards that we got for 10% off, negating the price difference.  We also got to pick our seats immediately, even though the rate from Delta did not allow for that.  Add in the guarantee, free changes, and delayed payment, and it was overall a no-brainer to me.

Well same flight I can book myself for $866 per person Carnival came back  with over $11000 for 2 people lol.  You mentioned you booked thru travel agent   Did you have To go thru your travel agent to get the flights or were you able to call carnival directly?   Thanks for info!

  10. Has anyone had any luck purchasing airfare through the Fly2fun program?  Trying to book flights for a TA cruise next year andCarnival pricing Is outrageous.  Just wondering  what experiences anyone else may have had

We had to change our cruise date so won't be there until May!

My family was able to play Rio Bayamon last week.  Was a great course for the price. We had checked into another one and they wanted $300 for 18 holes so this one was a steal

I always play at Bayamon when I feel the urge to feed balls to the river and to the plants along the boundaries of the course..lol. It's a great course for testing your accuracy since it's narrow on the long holes and the 3's are sometimes a "stone's throw" long. It can sometime be a bit windy as well so what it lacks in beauty is made up in how challenging it can be.

Thank you for all your help in finding somewhere to golf!!  Happy new year!!

Thank you! I was able to get in touch with someone from the pro shop who said he can set up a tee time for the day we are going to be there. Hoping it all works out!

Were you able to play this course?

Fort Buchanan Golf Club?  Can't be the federal government since they're supposed to operate on non-appropriated MWR funds.

Yes I've tried calling the Golf course at Fort Buchanon every day and get no response. I've been able to get in contact with the Rio Bayomon golf course but only via email as they said their phones were dámaged?  Is ths course in a safe area?

If you could get into a U.S. military base (with a DoD ID card or MWR membership), there's a better course in Fort Buchanan, closer to the ports.  It's a nine hole course, but more challenging than Bayamon's.  If you don't have ID, maybe you could call ahead and arrange for a special permit to get in.  They're hurting for members/players to justify their existence. 787-707-3980.

Thank you!  Do you think someone who is retired from the service would be able to get in?

It all depends on your arrival time,  the time you are in port for and your game pace. The course is located about 30 minutes from port and while morning and early afternoon traffic to the area id's relatively light, afternoon traffic back to the ship can vary wildy sometimes. The course is short with a lot of short par 4 and par 3s, but it's narrow and in most situations if that ball goes out of bounds,  it's lost. A river borders most of the front nine and goes across the course on the back nine. You actually drive the ball over the river twice. It's a municipal course but it's pretty well maintained and your only real option for a game during a port stop.

Thank you so much for the info!

Were you able to play this course?  My husband is interested in this on our stop if there's enough time.  Thanks!
