I know that if you buy an internet plan that only one device at a time can use it for FB, etc.

I’m wondering if the HUB app works to communicate between 2 people on the ship without an internet plan?

Or, do I need to get 2 plans so we can communicate?

I have a cruise booked in January 2017 and the excursions are not available yet.

I started carrying on my luggage when I got new. It's not hard as long as you are healthy enough to pull/carry all you have. I don't worry now about late luggage or crushed stuff. I have had porters argue with me, told me I couldn't carry on. Miami was the worst. They were rude! I ignore them. As long as you follow the measurements listed online you are fine.

Tracy Arm Fjord & Glacier Explorer....Anyone know when Carnival will open the reservations for this tour? I thought maybe someone who reserved it for the 2014 season might be able to tell me when they opened it last year. Thanks!

I sailed the Magic 3 times and the Conquest 7 times. We just had to make the same decision as you and we picked the Magic. My two Grandchildren 7yo will be going and the waterworks and pools, Seuss at Sea, Camp Ocean, and ropes course on the Magic helped us decide. I did have a hard time giving up Guy's Burgers. :)

No, they are still open.

I called Skagway Avis and the call was routed to Sitka Avis. I made my reservation for June 2015. Yay!

I had an issue finding minivans in Skagway. The Avis site said that none were available for next season.

 

I called the Avis facility in Skagway, and they were able to reserve one for me for next May, send me a confirmation, and give me a killer deal (lower than Sourdough). Great service too.

 

If you need something specific, just call them and they can help.

 

In Juneau, It was easily arranged through a local company (Juneau Car rental co). Nice guy, played football for my college team and wife is from the next town over from me. Once again, great phone service and great rates!

 

Just a little info if you need something specific that the websites don't show as available!

I have had the same problem with trying to rent a van on the Avis site.

I have called the Skagway Avis location several times in the past few months....they told me to call back later. So.....I assume that now is the time to call them? I will try again during their business hours this week.

For those of you that rented from Avis.....how far in advance did you reserve? We need a mini-van. I called Avis in Skagway and they can't tell me when reservations will open for the 2015 season. I like to take care of reservations like this well in advance!!!

I have spent hours reading reviews about off site parking. Reviews are inconsistent about the same places so I'm afraid to risk my family of nine...we will probably park at the port.

We are driving to POM to sail on the Conquest. Is there a certain lot just for the Conquest? Pre-pay?

I don't like driving into new situations. I would love it if someone could give a detailed description of what to expect and any tips or advice. Thank you!

Have you looked a deck plans if your ship to find out? We got our assignment and unfortunately, we are under the galley but I can't complain TOO MUCH especially for the price we paid! Just going to bring earplugs.
