How long after a cruise does it take you receive the casino offers, if one is coming?
You receive the free cruise offer if you qualify, the last night or morning of your cruise.
My cruise ended Dec. 5th and the email about the Premier Cruises came two days ago.

Received an email today from Carnival for 30 available Premier Cruises. Tried booking or even trying to find out prices and it would not let me. Anyone else having this problem?

We could only book late traditional dining (8:30) in the MDR for this cruise. We were put on the waiting list for 6:00. Select dining was not available, and we prefer the continuity and companionship of traditional if we can get in a table of 6 or 8.
I have seen posts about people trying to get into Select. But what about wait-listing to get into early? Anyone have any idea on whether it is better to be patient and wait for an assignment, or is this a case for contacting someone and getting an idea where we stand?
If we hear nothing from Celeb, should we go the the MDR once on board and request reassignment?
Anxious to hear replies on this also. We have the same situation but on Reflection in April.

Anyone have any favorite lunch spots, dishes, secrets or tips?
Haven't cruised Celebrity yet but I have to say Wow and Thank You for the time and effort putting this all together.
Will be a big help on my upcoming cruise in April.

Hello,
We are looking to go on a seven night Caribbean in February 2020. We have it narrowed down to two different ships. We were wondering if anyone has any opinions or pros/cons for each of the ships or cruise line overall. We have been on the Vista before and liked it, but are curious about trying something else.
We would be staying in an interior room and are most interested in food quality, show quality, on-board activities, and overall organization.
Thanks!
To make it short and sweet, I would go with Meraviglia.

Nothing as far as I'm concerned. Check out this thread on that subject. Then you'll get post #25 and #30.
Thank you for the laughs! Loved the thread with the exception of "the wet blanket!"

I just check and my date comes up under dealer's choice casino offer.
Would I be able to switch to another/better casino offer it came available?
Would the same rules above apply to that as well?
I have done this twice. As the other cruiser stated it had to be the same cabin category.

Actually, that space is gorgeous! And the elevators are certainly available for those who don't like the Swarovski crystal staircases.
Love the iconic feature of the Swarovski crystals. At over $12,000 a step, to me they are breathtaking.

I've just asked DH - What didn't we like about Celebrity? ... then followed with - What did we like about Celebrity?
We booked a Sky Suite and expected to be blown away after having experienced sailing in YC on MSC. Everything I'd read gave me to believe that X was a big step-up from MSC overall. Well, it wasn't in our experience.
They had just introduced a new restaurant, Luminae, for suite guests. The food was certainly a step-up, but the ambiance and service left an awful lot to be desired and we ended up dining in the MDR (even the highly-rated Blu, where we could also dine, didn't appeal). Never, when in YC, did I ever feel the need to go elsewhere to dine. In fact, while we love to go to a Speciality Restaurant for our Black Card perk, we do regret missing a night in the YC restaurant as a result - and that's even when the menu is not so appealing. We absolutely love the ambiance and service there.
We found the level of snobbery on X among suite guests unbelievable and never enjoyed having a drink in Michael's Club - again, I've never felt anything like it in the Top Sail Lounge on MSC.
The entertainment in the evenings was lacking in comparison to the range of music venues offered by MSC. Now, we were on Millennium, which is a small ship, so limited space, but we've spent 49 nights in total on 2 of MSC's smallest ships and never had a problem. There was music blasting out of speakers that was so loud in the much-lauded Martini bar, that it was impossible to have a conversation. In fact, even during the day, the music around the ship was uncomfortably loud.
The starkest contrast I can offer is that, one time on returning to the ship after an excursion, we both looked at it and said "Do we really have to get back onboard this thing"? We have never, in 22 MSC cruises, experienced a feeling like it.
In the heel of the hunt, it just wasn't for us. YMMV.
Thank you for taking the time to answer me back. The one cruise I had with MSC was so much fun and the food we just loved esp. the italian dishes. All the plates pictured here look so good to me but I understand everyone has different tastes.
The part of the snobbery has me the most concerned, being this is the second time I heard this. Nothing worse then starting a conversation with someone and they give you the eye and look away. (Had this happen once)
If it happens, I will just have to put my big girl panties on and not let it ruin my day. lol

We've done one Celebrity cruise (one and done!) - I would totally disagree with the assessment that X's MDR offerings compares with YC food, but it's an opinion and has no more worth than any others profferred.
Hi Beamafar.
Would you mind highlighting why you are "one and done?" I will be cruising first time on Celebrity in April.
Over the years I have read many of your posts and have agreed with most so would love your input.

About to take my second MSC cruise in the Seaside Yacht Club. We booked this when they first entered the US market. They offered no single supplements, so a bunch of women are going. We each have our own suites for a 7-night cruise for under $2,000/pp. Internet adds $79 to the cost. Drinks are included, so no need for a drink package. Works for me!
Wow what a great deal! I have been wanting to do a solo cruise but haven't found this kind of a deal.

That was very touching. Been dealing with cancer in family too much.
Much love to you two and all the happiness this world has to offer.

I feel MSC has tried to cater to Americans even if has been slow going.
Shoot when they first came to Miami they charged for still water in the dining room. Americans had a fit and they changed like many things after as well.

Can't wait to hear from your Part 2. All the food on MSC looked good to me but we all have different tastes. Have a fun and relaxing double dose of cruising!

In the alternative, you can quote the post, but PLEASE click on any (or all) pictures that are irrelevant or unnecessary to your response, and simply hit the delete key. While we appreciate the OP photos, to scroll through them multiple times, to only receive a message of "glad you had fun" or something of that nature, can get annoying. Thanks for your understanding.
Thank you pd7277 I am sure people like myself simply did not know how to do the deleting while quoting. Thanks again.

I see where Captain Lee and his Chief Stew Kate Chastain will be on the 6/14/2020 sailing of Equinox. I was not planning to do Equinox again on our next cruise, but we love that show!....maybe if she will teach the room stewards how to make her "special" towel arrangements (have to watch the show to get that!!!).
Would love to meet Captain Lee. Not so much Kate and her resting face and negative attitude.
Saw her on Andy Cohens show and she isn't very good in an interview situation.

Here is a couple questions;
- After taking our first "premiere cruise", is an invitation to "ultra" automatic, or what tips, help secure that next level invitation?
I can only tell you that I have been on a hand full of Premiere Cruises and have never been invited to an Ultra Cruise. I have been told it's based on how much you gamble from cruisers on CC.
