  1. Yay! Another Dirkgun Victory review. Been hoping you would do another one when you returned! Great start!

Just reading it takes me back there again - nice change though, that you did it at Christmas this time. Love the decorated ship pix, especially the blue casino lions with their Santa hats. :p

And I have to agree with you - there is just something about Old San Juan that is very special. We, too, love wandering around there!

    Can't wait to read more!

  2. Thank you so much! The really vibrant photos are from my Sony A300 dSLR and the others are from our Sony Cybershot. Later on, you will see all of our St. Lucia photos were taken with our Fujifilm waterproof cameras (we each have one) and our dive photos were taken with an Intova DC9 dive camera. Yes, there are only two of us, yet we took 5 cameras on the trip with us! Now you can see how we ended up with over 1,200 photos!

I, too, want to say how awesome your fort pictures look!! You have some great shots and very vivid! I have a feeling it won't be too long before I break down and get an SLR, no matter how hard I resist. And I believe you can never have too many cameras!!:p

(But I do have to side with your wife in regards to the Steelers. My DH is Pittsburgh born and bred, and over the years, I have been quietly lured in. I can what you mean about interesting in your house during certain games, though. BIL is a Browns fan and football at those times ranks right up there with religion and politics, as a taboo subject. Not that either team is doing well this year, though. :()

Can't wait to read the rest of your review, and re-live the trip over again through your eyes!

  3. This is still done on your sea day. $55 2 1/2 hours 845 or 915am The Indian Library, Deck 4 forward. Check your Fun Ashore book when you get into your room. You can not bring a camera, video or have your cell phone. Nobody under age of 8

Yay! Thanks so much for an answer!:D I had wanted to do the tour on my last cruise on Victory, but then there were no sea days and I didn't want to give up time in port for it. So glad they changed it to our sea day! Now I can finish my planning!

Just sad that it's the shorter tour, but of course that means less $$!

  4. Hey guys,

Help! Couldn't find an answer to this in the regular forum! Has anyone who sailed since they dropped Dominica as a stop done the Behind the Scenes tour?

I wanted to see if they now do the tour on that day, since it's the only sea day there is, or if it's still later on in the week.

    Thanks!

  5. Thank you. It is hard to decide which pictures to put in... we had at least four or five cameras taking pics. And they are all such great memories. I think I spent the last two days uploading pictures to photobucket dot com.

Boy, do I hear you on this one!! Took me forever to pick and choose, then upload all of mine. You got some great ones so far! Keep 'em coming!

Ah, I remember mofongo! I got a conch one while we were there and it was delicious, but boy are they deceptive in size. I couldn't finish half of mine before I was too stuffed (of course, I'm sure the pina coladas took up a lot of room in my stomach, too :p)

And I had wondered what those orange things were that I saw so many people carrying! Thanks for clearing that up - now I wish I had gotten one. Only 50 cents? Wow!

    Waiting for your next installment . . . :)
