Only the stops immediately before and after China matter to Chinese immigration. The ABC we frequently note would be Singapore-Tianjing- Singapore (the way you've written it in this post) which is not allowed.

If you had any non-China place instead of Singapore before or after, you might be ok (passport and specific length of time also matter)

If Celebrity won't allow you on board without a visa, that is their decision. But I'm confused. TWOV (transit without visa) can be used back to back - provided each case is eligible on its own. But you've already been told that South Korea-Tianjin-South Korea is ineligible, so you knew you need a visa anyway.

[if you were doing Japan-Tianjin-South Korea - Shanghai - London - that would be acceptable as 2 separate TWOVs: Japan-China-South Korea and South Korea-China-UK]

    Thank you,

I am eligible then as last port of call is Japan. I rang the embassy yesterday but no answer, also rang China visa Sydney and they are suppose to be open today.

It is such a pity there are no guarantees with the 144 transit visa. Waiting on email from RCCL. I read on their website to check with visa central, it says no visa necessary but then they say that they would advise however to get visa. Hardly any point having the 144 if maybe maybe not entrance.

  2. Hi,

    I am also not sure.

    if we fly

sydney - singapore And board The cruise from singapore

arrive tianjing stay tianjing 2 nights

fly from tianjing back to Singapore

stay singapore 8 days then fly to Sydney. Does this work?

why I’m confused is am I originating from Sydney, Singapore or last port of call prior to tianjing.

Thank you to anyone who can explain this.

  3. Hello Royal Caribbean Cruisers,

We recently sailed on the Serenade of the Seas from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. On departure day, when removing the contents of our stateroom safe, we found a ring that appears to be a Ladies wedding band.

After looking on google to see how likely it would be to get the ring back to its rightful owner via Guest Services on board, we decided we would keep the ring and contact Royal Carribean ourselves to see if anyone has reported it missing - thinking their chances of getting it back might be higher if we told them we had it. We've read nothing but horror stories of people trying to get RCI to help find their missing items, to never hear back from them, and due to the significance of this ring, we wanted to increase the chances of getting it back to its owner.

If you have lost a wedding band in your stateroom on the Serenade of the Seas, please reply with a photo of the ring you lost and the stateroom you were in. If the ring matches what we have, we will return it to its rightful owner.

Please do not waste time with prank replies or comments.

A great idea. I actually just came on to see if anyone may have found my engagement ring on explorer of the seas. We disembarked ship on 8th .dec. 2016. I got a bit excited actually when I first saw ring found in safe.

I have notified lost and found at royal Caribbean. Fingers crossed my ring was found by someone like you.

  4. Hi, Wondering if anyone has had the same thing happen to them...we booked a cruise in Jan which admittedly was a good price. We have now been advised that Celebrity will not offer the 123go offer as we have received a loyalty discount from them...our TA has kindly offered to make up the loss for us but I don't think that that is fair on them....has anyone else experienced this?

Hi, yes same here. In future I will not make the mistake of entering captains club loyalty number. A discount yes but not near as good as the 123 go offer.

I can't do anything about it now as have paid the full balance. Funny how The 123 deal was there until I entered number. Sometimes it just doesn't pay to be a loyal customer with RCL I guess. I would have paid the extra and changed but not able to once balance paid in full. Oh well another lesson learned.
