The only issues I see deal with honesty and integrity ... unless, of course, you really are able to drink all those beverages by yourself before they all get cold.
Exaggeration to try to get my point across...of course I could have a couple of personal thermos and like hot chocolate + tea together in a weird combination...

No, I have got 4 at a time. They will take 4 coffee's off of your total.
Sorry, I should clarify, I am not talking about the specialty espresso drinks that are part of the 15 but of the "unlimited" tea, brewed coffee, and hot chocolate. So for simplicity..if I go up to the counter and ask for 2 hot chocolates and 2 hot teas, is there an issue there?

Despite the "no sharing" for tea, brewed coffee and hot chocolate rule...is there anything that prevents me from walking up to the counter and ordering 2 coffees, or 1 coffee and 1 tea, or just circling around after 5 minutes?

You can visit OpenRice.com which is Hong Kong's version of Yelp.

The other option is $42 more with a 2 hour layover in Taipei. Seems like that would be less of a hassle, would have to sacrifice a non-stop on the way in, however.

Terminal 4 is AA's terminal, adjacent to the Bradley International terminal. Without confirmation from the OP we can only guess, but MY guess is that the whole trip is on American, and the connection at LAX is actually 2:20, arriving at 6 pm and leaving (for SFO) at 8:20 pm (and further that the flight date is sometime in the new year.) That's a legal connection and ought to be doable as long as the PVG-LAX flight is on time. However if it's on two separate tickets then all bets are off.
Wow, you're good. This is correct. It's an American Airlines flight, the international from PVG is operated by Cathay Pacific, but the connection, etc all booked through American. Thanks for everyone's input. I think I'll go ask what the plan is if we don't make the second flight...

Hello,
Traveling from Shanghai (PVG) to SFO, with a flight that connects through LAX. There is a 2 hour layover on a Saturday night (6:20pm, to 8:20pm). Is that enough time to get through customs and catch the plane to SFO?
Thanks in advance.

My humor is weird. I'll go back in hiding now. Thanks for the reply.
