  1. We stayed on the Caribe Deck....port side...deck10...last year on the Regal. No problem with privacy. The extended balcony is fabulous...plenty of room to relax and enjoy being outdoors! We will be on the same cruise this year...also Caribe Deck. We think it is a fabulous location...we used to book the Dolphin Deck on the Crown with an open balcony...didn't mind that we could be seen by people above.....

  2. We sailed on the Halloween cruise in October 2015 from NYC. We had a mini-suite C428...port side mid ship. The Caribe deck is far enough below the "bump out" so privacy was not an issue. The balcony was approximately 9'x9'. While on board we tried to book the same cabin for the 2016 Halloween cruise....but it was already booked! Luckily we were able to book C414....same size cabin and balcony. The cabin was perfect fou us...

  3. On our ten day cruise 10/27-11/3 Regal Princess we called the Dining Line when we boarded and made reservations for the entire cruise....one night Sabatini's, two nights Crown Grill, one night Crab Shack and one night Fondue. We always received a reservation reminder card the evening before or morning of our Dinner.....a very organized system. It was a wonderful cruise....

  4. We were looking forward to the Crab Shack and Fondue on the Regal 10/27-11/3 cruise. We loved the Crab Shack....plenty of food and a lot of fun. We were very disappointed with the Fondue dinner.....so little cheese in the fondue pot that it didn't even cover the bread when it was dipped. That evening there were two other couples who were not happy and spoke to the maitre d'......the staff wanted to know what our concerns were and said they liked the feedback and would speak to the chef. When they saw that we barely ate our dinner and didn't want to take a chance on dessert, they waived the $20 per person charge. We tipped our server...it wasn't his fault....and went to Alfredo's. Perhaps it was just an off night at the Fondue....we were really looking forward to a fun fondue.....like the ones we remember in Vermont and New York City. We were on this wonderful ten day cruise, and that was our only negative experience......it was a fabulous cruise! We already booked for next year....

  5. Oh now it gets exciting! You are starting the 7-day, which we will be on in 6 weeks!!

Would you be so kind as to note the nights (if any) the fondue dinner is offered? We love fondue and are hoping to do this. Also really hoping its on a sea day :)

We just returned from the 10/24-11/3 Regal Princess cruise. For us, everything was perfect...with one exception.....the Fondue. In fact, the evening we were there three couples complained and we were not charged for the meal. There was not even enough cheese to cover the very stale bread cubes....very disappointing! We loved Alfredo's, Crown Grill, Sabatini's, Crab Shack, the one time we ate dinner in the Concerto dining room and all breakfasts in the dining room...as well as the Horizon. We are not complainers, but the Fondue didn't work for us. I am sure some will disagree....food is very subjective. It was a beautiful cruise and we have already made reservations for next year. I hope you have a wonderful cruise.

  6. We leave this weekend on the Regal Princess in cabin C428....located port side/Seaview Bar. It has an extended angle balcony...Princess told me it is approximately 9'x9'.....so it appears to be the same size as the Caribe deck balconies on the Crown....and that will make us happy. I will post pictures next week.

  7. Thank you all for your comments. Since we live in NYC and will be taking a car service to the ship, we plan on arriving before noon.... we would rather have lunch on the ship than at home! We have not cruised since Princess stopped the Caribbean route out of NYC, so this cruise is perfect for us. We are going to Tampa to visit family and then taking Amtrak back to NYC...we have a Sleeper...it includes all meals, enclosed bathroom and is private...an adventure for sure! We have missed cruising...I wish Princess would bring back their 9 day cruises out of NYC. Happy Cruising!

  8. I am sure this question has been asked and answered.....but one more time, please.

We received an email this morning with "suggested" boarding times...ours being 3:00-4:00.

We were planning to arrive at the port 12:00ish....will we be allowed to board, or will we have to wait until 3:00? We are Platinum, if that makes a difference. We are excited about this ship and cruise, and want to be on the ship as early as possible! Thanks for your comments and info. Happy Cruising to us all!

  9. We are in this cabin for our 10/24/15 cruise. I spoke to a Princess rep this morning and she told me the extended balcony size is approximately 8'9"x9'......the Crown mini mid-ship Dolphin deck is 49 sq ft.......so we are happy with the balcony size and since we loved the open balcony on the Crown, I'm sure if anybody can see our balcony from the Seawalk it will not be a problem. We are getting close, and that makes us very happy!

  10. How many days out of NYC, on the 10/24/15 Regal cruise, before the temperature warms up?

We live in NYC and realize the weather changes from year to year.....when can we expect balcony/pool weather...we have never cruised in the Fall. Happy Cruising!

  11. Thank you for the information/suggestions. Boarding for Caribe is listed as between 3:15-4:00.... We are platinum so I think we will not have a problem boarding whenever we arrive at the port. We live in New York City and plan on arriving between 11:00-Noon. I am checking out the roll-call today and I am sure I will get answers to any and all questions I might have. We are looking forward to this cruise and are very happy Princess has this cruise out of New York....we miss our Princess cruising! Again, thank you all for the info...Happy Cruising!

  12. I know this question has been asked and answered, but I cannot find the posts. The suggested boarding time on the Regal Princess for the Caribe deck is 4:00PM....I'm pretty sure that is merely a suggestion and we will be able to board after checking in and boarding begins......hopefully I am correct. Thank you.......Happy Cruising..

  13. We are on The Regal in October.....the Princess rep told me our mini-suite C428, port side, is enough below the skywalk and shouldn't be an issue. We have one of the extended balconies which is 9'x8'10". Our previous cruises have been on the "open to the sky" balconies on the Dolphin decks of the Crown.....and our Regal balcony seems to be at least that large....or possibly larger. Happy Cruising...

  14. We will be on the Regal in October. We have been to St. Thomas many times, but have never been to Aruba or Antigua. We love to go the beach.......and would appreciate all suggestions. We like to have access to bathroom/changing rooms and a beach restaurant. We don't need a beach with lots of "activity". We are happy to sit on a lounge chair and read! Thank you and Happy Cruising!

  15. We booked C528 for our October cruise because of the angled balcony. A princess rep told me that the balcony in 9'x8.10'...so I think we made a good choice. We are on the port side which seems to have a little more privacy....but we always booked the Dolphin deck on past cruises, which were completely uncovered and it was never a problem. Happy Cruising!

  16. Thanks to everyone for your responses. We have never taken water on a cruise, but I am dealing with very low pressure, and my cardiologist wants me to drink lots of fluids. I drink plenty of water, but it gets pretty boring and the Vitamin Water Zero goes down a lot easier.....the Zero is because I am diabetic and doesn't contain sugar. Never a dull moment!

    Happy Cruising...

  17. Princess probably doesn't sell Vitamin Water Zero on the Regal.....I'm guessing. If we bring a few bottles with us, do you think they will take them away? I know about the one bottle of wine per passenger, but I hope water is allowed. Thank you.....Happy Cruising!

  18. Just checked Princess site...there is a SALE on mini-suites for the 10/24/15 10 day NYC/Ft. Lauderdale Caribbean cruise. I called Princess and saved over $1000 on our trip....and received OBC for my husband and myself! I don't know how long this offer will be in effect, but it is certainly worth a call to Princess. Happy Cruising.....

  19. Our first time on Regal in October 2015. On previous cruises we stayed on the Dolphin deck with the open balcony, which we really liked....people above were never an issue. We chose C428 because of the larger angled balcony. Hopefully this will give us a little more room since my husband and I enjoy our balcony time. I would love to hear from any lucky cruisers who have stayed in this cabin or a similar one......not that we would or could change cabins at this time, but I am curious. Also, I just want to say that after seeing pictures of all of the food options on Regal, we will begin our dieting after we return from our two week Maine vacation in July.....I think I gained weight just seeing pictures of fabulous looking food! We are very excited about this cruise leaving from our hometown of NYC......we miss Princess. Thank you all for any and all info. N & J Hawkins
