  1. Hi Folks,

Booked on Enchanted Princess in July and Sky Princess in September 2022 sent off my shareholder certificate to Carnival share holder benefits, only to be told that e-mail address deals with Cunard and P&O only?

So does anyone have the current Princess shareholder benefits e-mail address so I can send off my certificate.

    Thank You i

  2. Hi Everyone,

I am after some advice, has anyone been in this situation.

My wife and I were all ready bags packed all paperwork confirmed to board Iona last Saturday.

Wednesday medical declaration completed online fit to board,

    Thursday didn’t feel to good,

    Friday tested positive for Covid.

I know if it turned up to the docks on Saturday they would of confirmed me positive with a fcc paperwork ready to take home with me!

As I am sat at home feeling rough I thought I would think about obtaining a refund or fcc I booked via a travel agent in the Uk.

My insurance first paragraph is try to obtain a fcc which I will be contacting my  TA about today.

    Thanks in anticipation.

  3. I have just booked some shows via the P&O website not many Headliners shows available presume people have beat me to it?

The theatre is showing our two seats booked together which tells me they are still doing this as a covid precaution which is good, but if the passenger capacity has been increased to 5,000 not everyone will be able to view the shows.

I have looked on the P&O website this shows no cabins available to book, Iglu are showing all grades of cabins available?

Does anyone know for sure what the capicity is for this cruise?

  4. I am also on this cruise have been allocated a balcony cabin below the life boats stbd side aft/midship.

These cabins look like structure cut outs not real balcony’s, I don’t think we will get the sun until very late afternoon when it is at its lowest.

I will be trying to change cabins as soon as I’m onboard but looking at the p&0 website balcony cabins not available?

With the cruise operating at 60% surely cabins available!

  5. Hi

On Iona 30th October just been allocated deck 5 cabin 5601 GC.

I can see there are cabins below us but dreaded restaurant above (aft) has anyone had or been in this cabin or deck 5 aft?

Also wandering how high up deck 5 good view or no view.

    Thanks

  6. We are on the 30th October sailing on Iona sailing to Portugal and Spain.
I have a few questions regarding this cruise:

    1. Are the launderettes currently open.

    2. How long from dockside Covid test to getting on board.

    3. Cost of using the sanctuary for a day.

    4. Is it easy to book evening shows or if late booking you miss the show.

    5. If presently onboard getting off in Portugal and Spain what protocols were in place ie do you need to be tested, passport etc.

    6. Anyone else waiting for the latest government announcement before booking Covid 2 day test or have you already booked them? ready for your PLF.

    Many thanks

  7. What a lovely video by the Cunard president showing us how good the scones are and the recipe will be online soon, and the crew are enjoying themselves doing Zumba and fencing.

Come on man what about all the money you have not returned for the cruises you cancelled, no mention what so ever, except look at the website which is pathetic.

Can I please have my money back for the cruise you cancelled Cape Town to Southampton, I paid you deposit/full fair on time as per the contract - your obligation is to return it in 14 days as per the contract?

If I contact your website I can book a future cruise instantly, why can I not be refunded instantly for yur cancellation?

This is leaving a bad taste with me ever booking Cunard again.

  8. Hi All

Just had a email from Cunard offering me 125% future OBC or a full 100% refund

(60 day wait) on my two trips that I had booked for my cruise from Cape Town to Southampton 1st April, I have just filled the online form in for a complete 100% refund.

This is where Cunard let themselves down - I spoke two weeks ago to a lady at Cunard for a refund for my trips booked, she took all my details and said it will be sent to accounts to be processed.  Last week I noticed on Cunard site a request to fill in online form if you wanted a complete refund on trips already booked, so I applied.

So with today's form sent that's THREE times Cunard have been informed of what I requested.

Is this just a stalling tool?

I appreciate they are busy and mistakes can be made, this is my money can I please have it back even with a two month wait.

Carnival share price is dropping like a stone how long before they are suspended, and potentially cease to trade?

  9. I should have been boarding QM2 today in Cape Town, obviously all cancelled my TA has said I will get a full refund flights, hotel etc once they get refunded by Cunard.

I have told my TA I want a full Cunard refund and I have also filled the request form in via Cunard site, as of today no refund has been returned to my cc.

    My question is:

To date has anyone received any refunds to their cc?

I have heard rumours or 60 day wait?

  10. Just had the same email 1 hour ago - now onto the travel agent to get full refund I am under 70 but have a underlining health problem, and have a letter from my doctor.

I spoke to Cunard during the week and as the wife is on the booking under 70 and no medical problems she will also be refunded full amount its all about the booking and who's on it.

Not going for future cruise credit, as nobody on this earth knows if/when this virus will cease, I can see cruise lines going bust, very sad if it happens for crew/shore side staff.

  11. Cape town - Southampton Cruise M009

I also had another email from Cunard today saying that the $900 will now not be credited to my OBC after saying yesterday it would be credited. I commented yesterday how it was a goodwill act - Ha Ha

I called Cunard today (20 minute wait) and the girl I spoke to knew nothing about it, she had to speak to a team leader to confirm - unbelievable, their own staff do not know what is happening.

    As a shareholder I embarrassed.

Having just watched the PM on TV surely Cunard now have to cancel all cruises with immediate effect, advising everyone over 70 not to cruise that's most people onboard.

I will lose £1500 as I have booked flights/hotels etc but I am going to wait to get a full cash refund from Cunard for the cruise - the customer loyalty with Cunard has gone, once I get my money back I will NEVER SAIL CUNARD AGAIN

Cunard are part of Carnival Princess has cancelled all future cruises, do the right thing Cunard.

  12. I think this a fair offer from Cunard, I am on the Cape Town - Southampton on April 1st 2020.

I like others will decide nearer the date to see if we go ahead, it will depend what countries/islands get infected.

The problem I have is we booked via a cruise agent in the UK, they booked flights and have four nights booked in a hotel, one day safari booked, we have also booked by ourselves Robin Island and Table Mountain.  Our travel agent said we would lose the flight/hotel money that's £1500 british pounds if we cancel, plus train/coach fares, so decisions need to be made.

  13. A review is very subjective as it is some ones personal opinion.

I am on the cruise 1st April Cape Town to Southampton, I will make opinions known on our return.

I have read the ship looks rusty and some cabins look tired, not surprising for a ship about to go into refit.  Having cruised on QV in October I have noticed the general standard of Cunard had dropped, my upcoming cruise will be our sixth with Cunard, I will reserve judgement, if five star service is not applied I will think of moving to Silverer seas / Regent etc.  Have booked direct for Table Mountain and Robben Island 30% cheaper than a ship tour.

Let's hope the cruise is still on?

  14. Hi Everyone,

We are booked on QM2 cruise MOO9 joining in Cape Town April 1st 2020, anyone else booked on this cruise?

My wife and are concerned regarding this cruise on two accounts, recent reviews and Coronavirus.

I have contacted Cunard regarding their duty of care for passengers, and what procedures are in place, received the standard reply which did not re assure us, I am thinking of cancelling but Cunard will not refund a penny, as per their T&C's.

Having read recent reviews on this forum, if you booked via a travel agent as we have people were left to their own devices, not very customer friendly. also reviews state poor customer service onboard, ship looking tired I know it is for a refit soon, but I have paid for a five star service and expect it to be.

Hindsight is a great thing, if we had not already booked, I would not of booked this or any other cruise,  Cunard showing ALL levels of cabins are still available with three weeks to go, even though they have today slashed prices - looks like people are not cruising until this virus is sorted out.

I can see us sailing straight from Cape Town to Southampton with no stops in Namibia, Madeira or Tenerife, that will be boring.

  15. I am on the QV at the end of October, I will be removing my auto gratuities, the main reason being Cunard is owned by Carnival,  P&O are also owned by Carnival auto gratuities have been removed by the company on all P&O ships.

The QV is a vista class ship the same as Arcadia the standard and quality I have found is compatible, P&O charge far less for drinks 15% add on.

Carnival have made healthy profits for the past five years, perhaps some of this profit could be channelled towards a crew bonus.

Question - If P&O staff do not receive auto gratuities have their wages been increased to compensate for the loss?

  16. We are joining QE tomorrow travelling from Plymouth. Our original arrival advised time was 15:00, so presume now 16:00, I have heard nothing officially from Cunard.

Does anyone know the original departure time?

    Regards

  17. Hi All,

We are the QE sailing this Wednesday, have been allocated deck 4, stbd forward.

It says these are metal balconies, not glass? Has anyone stayed in these cabins? If so what are they like, any restrictions? Also any noise from the theatre below?

    Thanks

  18. Hi,

We have just been allocated our cabin for our cruise sailing 25th October to the Canaries.

We are allocated on deck 4 balcony - stbd - fwd, we are non smokers and are wondering if we will be able to smell smoke on our balcony, from deck three below. Is there a certain area on deck three allocated for smokers or the whole deck?

    Thanks in anticipation.
