  1. Thank you everyone for your feedback.

I did try Princess Customer Services again and was told that I have to pay £30 a day extra as my Princess Plus only cost £30 when I booked the cruise last year. I did point it out that Princess should put in their FAQ that "the £20 upgrade to premium" only applies to bookings made where the Plus price was at the new rate of £40 a day.

Customer services did confirm that if I want a drink which is more than the $12 US limit on my Plus package, then I only have to pay the difference + the 18% gratuities. I mentioned that some web sites say that Princess are scrapping this "pay only the difference" but instead you have to pay 100% for the more expensive drink. Their reply was "don`t believe everything you read online " !!

I suppose I will have to see what happens when I get onboard !!

    Thank you once again

  2. Hi Everyone

I have an upcoming Princess cruise this November which I booked last year to include the Princess Plus Package, this at the time of booking was an additional £30 pp. I see that Princess have now added an additional package called Princess Premium. On their website they say " already booked Princess Plus.. Upgrade to Premium for an additional £20 a day pp "
I asked my TA to upgrade me and they came back saying I have to pay £30 a day not £20 !
Has anyone here managed to upgrade for only £20 a day based on their existing booking was made before the Princess Plus price increase?

The website to the best of my knowledge doesn`t mention that you only pay £20 extra if you had booked the Princess Plus at the new £40 a day price !

    Thank you in advance

  3. Hi

If anyone has had past experience with either cabins E228 or E229 ( Opposite each other ) on Sky Princess or Enchanted Princess, please can they let me know what they thought of the obstruction for views from the balcony ? I have watched many videos showing the side of these 2 ships and I have counted the cabins along the ship to see the location and how significant the obstruction may be ! If someone has stayed in these cabins and can help that would be great.

There are only 3 Obstructed ( BW Grade ) Balconies I can choose from on a particular cruise, the above 2 being the ones I have narrowed down on. Otherwise, I have to go on a "Guaranteed" Cabin option which can be pot luck to what you get !!

    Many Thanks

  4. It`s very kind of everyone who replied for your thoughts and opinions. As my children will still be too young to have their own cabin I feel that the Azura with a superior deluxe balcony and its larger balcony area ( compared to Britannia`s balcony ) comes across as a better option and monies saved can go towards extra excursions / drinks etc !

    Thank you for your time

  5. Hi everyone
Like lots of others, my family P&O Med cruise has been cancelled and so I am looking at booking a cruise for 2022 using my FCC !

I have been looking at 2 cruises that need to include the February half term in 2022 and there are 2 cruises to choose from.
These being on the Britannia and Azura both are 14 night Caribbean Cruises.
If I choose a Superior Deluxe Balcony ( for the 4 of us ) the price difference is approx £1500 in total more for the Britannia cruise compared to the Azura one.

I have been on the Ventura ( sister ship to Azura ) and I enjoyed that ship, but I have not been on the Britannia hence the question !

Please can anyone who has sailed on both the Azura and Britannia advise me if you think the extra £1500 is worth it to go on the Britannia !

    I hope that makes sense

  6. Hi Everyone

Although I have been with P&O before I have only travelled from Southampton.

I have a Caribbean repositioning cruise booked for next year which involves flying from LGW to Barbados.

There will be 2 adults + 10 year old twins

Does anyone know if TUI will make sure that 1 of us Adult`s will be next to one of our Children or will I have to pay £35 each to pre book seat positions for the 4 of us just to make sure we are not separated !!

I did ask PO Customer Services but they didn`t know !!

I believe the seat config on the TUI Flight may be 3 by 3 by 3 so I know all 4 of us cannot sit next to each other

    I hope that makes sense

    Thanks

  7. Hi

Does anyone know if P&O do special offers for their chargeable dinning options like The Limelight Club or Sindhu or The Epicurean ?

The reason I ask is that many years ago when I did a RCI cruise they offered an extra discount if you went to one of their chargeable restaurants on the 1st night as an example

I am going on a P&O Cruise in May 2020 and curious if there any offers to be grabbed !

    Many Thanks

  8. Hi Everyone

Can anyone with past experience recommend any hotels that offer a family room with 15 night parking and taxi transfer in Southampton ?

From the research I have done it seems most hotels only offer rooms for upto 3 people ( There are 4 of us !! ) I have found some Premier Inn Hotels that offer Family rooms but these are room only and looking on travel agent sites that offer  hotel stay with  parking and taxi transfer they are only offering country golf club /spa type hotels which are not in Southampton

Any help would be most appreciated.

    Thanks

    Philip

  9. Hi Everyone

Although I have been on 6 or so cruises in the past they were in the days of just me and my wife !!!

Now we are about to take our first cruise with our 4 year old twin girls !!!

On the Ventura in May for 14 nights...We have a super deluxe balcony so the girls have sofa bed rather than bunk beds ( things that may go bump in the night !! )

Does anyone have any tips regarding cruising with little children please ?

example ... how the Nurseries work on board ...if the ship provide juices for them to drink during the daytime.

Basically anything that you may feel is worth knowing so the 4 of us have a great cruise !!

    Thanks in advance
