Hi all. I have read some posts about tours being discounted onboard. We booked all our tours online. IE Best of Rome cost us $413 pp. it was the most expensive tour. Should we cancel and just wait until we get onboard. Thanks.

This is great stuff. Thanks all for your help. I need to get on these boards more often.
I think I am leaning toward the Legend. It is a really good itinerary. I have been to some of the European cities but my wife hasn't. We have been on several cruises but always the Caribbean.
Plus, I am finally turning Platinum with Carnival...only cruising since the 80's.
Seriously, Thank to all this was super helpful!!!!

It seems like your priority is a European itinerary. I will be on the Mardi Gras (10/2020) next year with an eastern Caribbean itinerary. I think if the ship factored in your personal appeal, you would be willing to travel on the Mardi Gras (despite the itinerary) during your actual anniversary date.
For that reason, I suggest choosing the Legend (12 day). For the occasion and itinerary, you can't lose either way. Happy Anniversary/Cruising!!!
Thank you so much for your help. I was leaning that way too. The allure of the Mardi Gras made me think more. Plus I sailed Mardi Gras the original when I was 16.

Hi All - I haven't posted here in a while but I am planning a 25th Anniversary Cruise for my wife and I in 2020. I am struggling between two itineraries and ships. Do I book the longer (12 day) Med Italy cruise on the legend in a AFT balcony or do I go for the NEW Mardi Gras Maiden Voyage on 8/31 in a regular Balcony (9 days). Mardi Gras is a little more expensive but it would be the maiden voyage and that would be special all in itself. Also to note, the Italian Legend cruise would be on our actual anniversary, the Mardi Gras is a couple of months earlier. Thank You for your help - I am so torn.

We sailed the Sunshine last year and sail the Valor next week. The Sunshine was OK. We like shows and the theater, although cool technically, was really tight. Our favorite ship has been the Conquest, which is a sister to the Valor, just the perfect size. Either way you can't really go wrong, its a cruise.

Thanks for helping me out with this...we decided to take the balcony on the spa deck. I will make sure to publish review following the cruise.

This is a great review. We sail next week on the Valor. It is sticking in my head to not forget to take the time to watch the sail-a-ways. With all of the craziness and the kids sometimes we forget just to chill and relax....

I almost never post here but wanted to tell you to be strong and not afraid. I was diagnosed in 2012 with Hodgkins Lymphoma and right before treatment went on a cruise. As much fun as the cruise was my mind was always on the cancer. Just think forward about how much fun it will be to cruise once you are cancer free. All my best and prayers, Rob

I just checked and see that the price I paid for my 6J on the Valor with the front facing floor to ceiling window is now the same as a balcony cabin.
I love the idea of the unique cabin and can't decide if I should switch cabins.
Thanks for the help!
By the way it is me, my wife and 2 daughters (12 and 9) in the one cabin. Thanks.

Thank you all so much for such thorough help. Really appreciated. I will keep what we have and just check on board to see if there are price changes. Will post once I get back for others taking this journey.
