There is an Enterprise at the Crowne Plaza hotel. Last time i was there, they had shuttles to and from the ship.  

Got off the STAR a few days ago and had to get over my "post cruise depression syndrome" before writing this review! :)

 

Let me sum up my cruise in one word....WOW!!!

It was one of the best cruises I have ever been on.

We cruised from Los Angeles to Miami because we preferred the long air trip going from NY than coming back.

Thank you Don! I was so great meeting you both and seeing you around the ship. I'm so very sorry I had to miss Barbara's karaoke. :( I did participate in a few scavenger hunts and even won the second one - is that different than what you are talking about?

I loved participating in many of the ships activities during the day and most of the dance parties at night. I also found it hard to get into the White Party because of the choice of music. Once Michael Jackson's Beat It was over - it when down hill from there in my opinion. So, basically there was 15 or 20 minutes of fun.

I have an iPhone and the Norwegian iConcierge app lists specific ships and the Star is not one of them. Which is a bummer because it looks pretty awesome!

Oh, that's a bummer about the chocolate buffet! I loved walking through and looking at all the wonderful concoctions they made and the sculptures. I didn't usually eat much of it but the last few times found one particular dessert that I really liked. I couldn't tell you what it is called though of course. :)

The chocolate desserts calex does not sound like a fitting replacement to me. I even loved having to wait until midnight to indulge. I didn't like it as much when they started doing it in the middle of the day.

Oh well...Thank you though for letting me know not to get my hopes up.

Does anyone know if there was a chocolate buffet during the cruise or a "lobster" night in the main dining rooms? I thought I read something about lobster in the Market Cafe but was wondering about the usual lobster nights in main dining rooms.

Since we had eaten very little food during the tour we headed straight to the Blue Lagoon. I ordered some of the buffalo wings with hot sauce. This was the second time I’ve ordered these and it was obvious to me they don’t know how to make hot sauce hot. Don’t get me wrong, the wings were good, just not spicy hot.

 

This is the same complaint I've heard since I first went to the Blue Lagoon and if I remember correctly, you can order them to be cooked with Tabasco or something like that. Not 100% sure right now but I'm going to try that in a week. :)

It does not sound like it is going to be repaired when the Star goes to drydock in Portland, Oregon in March 2015.

The Star is going to be in Portland, OR? Cool! I'll have to go visit her while she's here. She is my favorite ship up to now. :) Lots of fond memories.

I'm getting excited to watch all the shows and see all the entertainers!! Stan Sykes would be in one of the bars at night somewhere - he is solo. He's been on maybe half of the cruises I have been on but it has been a few years since my last one - so he may have moved on.

Followed my fellow PC cruiser Don here and found all this very interesting and it is definitely starting to spark some excitement for me! I was trying to get through a big Thanksgiving party before the real cruise planning and excitement started but I just got a jump start.

Anyone know if Stan Sykes is still around? I've seen him I think on 4 or 5 of my Star cruises and really enjoyed his music.

The Dancing with the Stars "contest" sounds fun. :)
