  1. Could anyone tell me is there are any theme nights on Regal? I will be there in March visiting Mexico and Honduras and am wondering whether I should pack anything specific, for example, for a White night, or 70s, or something else. I understand it is not a requirement, but would like to be prepared in case there is something like that. Thanks!

  2. I have a similar problem - my date of birth is wrong. I didn't find a way to change it online, so I called twice, spent more than an hour each time on the phone, both times was assured that it had been fixed, only to find out that it still isn't. I can't use Princess app because of that - it tells me that my reservation belongs to someone else.

Sorry, I know it is not helpful, just wanted to let the steam out. 🙂

  3. Hello,

I have cruised a lot, but it is going to be my first time in Honduras. The ship will be in port from 7am to 4pm.

My understanding is that Princess ships dock in Mahogany Bay which has a beach and there is a zip line nearby. Is this correct?

Do we need to book zip lining through the ship, or will it be easy (and cheaper) to buy it when we are there? The ship offers zip lining for $100, or a combination or zip lining and beach for $110.

Will we be able to walk to the beach after zip lining? Is it free?

Is the beach any good, or should we go somewhere else?

    Thank you for your input!

This is the most recent reply from our travel agency on the subject of refunds:  I feel we are being given the run around.

We do not have a firm date as of yet. I understand that some of the information for some bookings were incomplete and inaccurate and Royal Caribbean needed clarification before starting the process."

I received exactly the same reply form the travel agency a month ago. It has been more than half a year now since I applied for a refund for two fully paid, including gratuities, Pullmantur cruises - and still nothing, just promises and excuses. So frustrating!

The refurbishment of the station means passengers will be able to travel direct by ICE from Berlin, no changing trains in Rostock main station and the walk to the cruise berths will be barrier free.

Anni, thank you so much or the information provided; it is very helpful.

Our cruise is leaving on May 30th from LP41. Will it change something for passengers departing from there? Will it make it any easier?

    Thanks again,

  6. I have never cruised NCL, but have been on quite a few other lines, and never paid as much in taxes. Usually it is around a hundred dollars, give or take. This being said, I just happily paid $260 in taxes and fees for a cruise on Sovereign next June because the price itself was too good to be missed. I cruised on Monarch before and quite enjoyed it. Free drinks add a lot of value and convenience.

  7. Thank you to everyone who answered. I understand that there shouldn't be a problem with withdrawing money once we get to Tokyo. My concern is that we might not have cash to get from the airport to the hotel if ATMs at the airport do not accept our cards. Is there a way to exchange some cash at the airport should it happen, or should I get a few yens here in the U.S. before leaving for the trip just in case?

  8. I searched for the answer here, and it seems like most people recommend waiting until you are in Japan to find an ATM and withdraw money. I also found posts saying that ATMs in Japan might not accept some debit cards. Do they accept cash? Thank you!

  9. Actually, our ship is sailing from Harumi in Tokyo, not Yokohama. It was a surprise to me, too. When I first saw those cruises, the itinerary stated "Yokohama", and only by accident, thanks to a guide from Yokohama, I found out that we are not sailing from there. Now Costa confirmed it, so I have to change plans.

I understand that time is going to be limited. We just want to go somewhere and do something vs. staying at a hotel or onboard. Thanks!

  10. We are going to be on cruises that start/end in Tokyo and stop at Kobe, Kochi, Shingu and Nagoya in Japan as well as Pusan and Cheju City in Korea.

My understanding is that the weather is going to be humid and warm, but not too hot, with lots of rainy days. Is it correct?

Also, being used to wearing shorts and T-shirts when sightseeing in Carrebean and Mediterranean, I am wondering if we should dress more conservatively in Japan and Korea. Any first-hand experience with that?

    Thank you!

  11. We are going to take two B2B cruises from Tokyo in June. We have never been to Japan before.

We are arriving at Haneda early afternoon the day before the first cruise and staying at Intercontinental Tokyo Bay. What sightseeing can be done on that day?

Also, we will have a few hours between the cruises - arriving at 8am and departing at 3pm. Same questions - is there anything not too far away from the port that would be interesting to see?

We do have a whole day of sightseeing scheduled with a volunteer guide in Tokyo on the day of arrival from our second cruise, so the major sights that might be far away from the port will be covered later.

Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

  12. Our June cruise starts and ends in Tokyo. We would like to spend the disembarkation day in Tokyo, but we would need to leave our luggage somewhere for the day. I know Yokohama has a lot of luggage storage facilities and luggage forwarding services. Does anyone know if there are places to leave luggage in Harumi? We wouldn't like to forward it since there is no guarantee of next day delivery; we'd rather just leave it somewhere for the day. Thank you!

  13. We are going to be in Busan for the first time on June 6th, from 10 am to 6 pm, and would like to use a HOHO bus to get an overview of the city. Has anyone done it before and could give me some info? Is there a bus stop near the port? Is there a Tourist information office there to get a Busan Stamp Tour leaflet? I read there are three lines. Which line is the most interesting? Which goes to Jagalchi fish market? What is the best way to combine at least two of them? Thank you!
