I've cruised Alaska twice-once mid May with sunny days and a few days warm enough to not need a coat or sweater. The second cruise was beginning of August and it was cold, windy and rained almost everyday. You can never tell what the weather will be like in Alaska

Adventure of the Seas
March 3, 2018

I booked a single studio on Adventure of the Seas (with help of a travel agent) for what I thought was a good price at just over $1300 CAD. Regular inside cabin would have been $1900. I booked it over a year prior to the cruise date. There are only 6 single cabins on the ship and they book really fast. So it is possible to get single studios at a reasonable fare, it's just not easy.

I would recommend Die Port Van Cleve. It is within walking distance to the train station. It was a 10 min taxi ride to the cruise terminal. You can catch a hop on hop off river cruise by the train station and get off right at Ann Frank House. The hotel is situated across the street from Dam square.

Take a cab to Paradise Beach!

I recently booked a single cabin on Adventure of the Seas using a TA as the website prices were incorrect. I was happy with the pricing, $1300 CAD compared to almost$1900 CAD for an inside stateroom. More money for me to spend. I agree with a previous poster that I probably spend more on board than other couples as I will book a ship excursion in most ports. I feel more comfortable on an excursion than exploring on my own. The size of the cabin isn't that important as I only sleep, shower and change there. I like people watching so I would rather sit in a lounge or around the pool than in my stateroom.

Compared to other lines with large ships (ie NCL,RCCL etc) is the Lido busier than other ships? Or are the lines just worse than on other smaller HAL ships?
When I have been on other large ships, there are lineups everywhere.

Would Anyone know if there is a "theme cruise" for October 19, 2016?
Thank you so much,

I had read in another thread that you don't have to buy the second package if it is due to a medical issue. Surely pregnancy would be included. It was said you could talk to guest services on board to get it removed. I don't know if this is true or not

I was just there last month. I rented a beach cabana, they have 2. The Cabana rental is $50 if you spend at least $50 on food and drink(which we easily did having lunch and and a few drinks) . I figured it was a good deal as 2 loungers and an umbrella would cost $30. I really enjoyed the cabana, you had 2 loungers outside the cabana and a table and 4 chairs inside and under the shade. The food and drinks were good although on the expensive side (but everything is expensive in Grand Cayman). You got bar and food service to the cabana. The beach had a lot of people on it, but it wasn't crowded. There was one other ship in port that day.

We cruise Liberty in August and I have heard he is good. Several very positive reviews from people.

He is really funny. I tried to look him up on youtube since I loved his singing but no luck. Does anyone by chance know his full name??
If you are talking about Vince his name is Vince Strong.

I would also recommend Cardero's. The seafood is great and there is alot of other things on the menu. It is right by the marina, so the views are also quite spectacular.

Anybody know anything about Dave Filsinger. We are on the Liberty in August and really enjoy spending time in the PB. Hope he is good!!!

Don't laugh, but if there is a Burger King chain restaurant around, they make really good poutine (at least around Vancouver area)

croozlady,
Who was your tour guide? There's one that's all over youtube. I think they called him Captain Crazy. His laugh is hilarious!
:D:D:D:D
We did the Nine Miles tour with Zion bus tours through Carnival. Captain Crazy was our tour guide and he was crazy. I have to admit, it was one of the best tours I have done on a cruise. Reggae music all the way, great scenery, rum punches.
