Were you that close to land?
Not close enough to see it[emoji16] But the catamaran ran aground, so I know now why the Captain only sent the fast boats and one tender.

It was a relaxing sea day. Never got close enough to the vessel in distress due to water depth. Glad the rescue went well.

Highly skilled contractors are also flown in and could be from anywhere in the world.
Very true, my employer in CA hire them for major work.

We did the golden zone/tequila tour on December 2nd. No problems at all. You do see police in full gear with rifles in pickup trucks, but you see that in Cozumel too. We did get the email advisory, but I did not feel uneasy at all taking this Princess tour.

Just booked for the Sept. Mexican out of LA. Anyone have pictures of this cabin or has stayed in this cabin. I am curious about the balcony....I know it wraps around the side but is that part big enough for chairs to? Are there balconies above it and is it all open? Thanks for all your replies.
We stayed in this cabin in December. It's a big balcony, as you sit you can see the bridge of the ship. You could easily seat four. There are no balconies above it, and it is fully covered.

We did the float plane glacier tour. Its worth it all by itself. Next time we would do the lodge feast as well. Hard to appreciate the vastness of Alaska until you see it from the air!

Good news! It will be our first visit there!

My brother and SIL invited us on our first ever cruise on Emerald Princess in 2009. We have been hooked since :-)

Paradise Beach. We enjoyed it, plenty of loungers, big pool. $3 plus food/drink expenses.

French Onion Soup! I always get fish and chips at the pub lunch also!

We caught a 10:05 flight once. Probably would not do it again, even though we made it no problem.

Enjoyed your report, my brother and SIL were also on this cruise :-) Thanks!

Our cabin D625 had new TV's on the 13th. And yes the remote was controlling both TV's, when I turned one off the other would turn on :-) I like them, very easy on the eyes and hope it is fleet wide!

BF balcony, and ended up with a BA Caribe deck balcony.

I am confused. I will be on the dolphin deck on the Island Princess this October and according to the website listed by the OP there are no bump out cabins on that deck.
We were on Dolphin deck starboard and were on a bumpout :D

Dirty Banana? My DW loves them!

I think its closed for wind, we found it open only a few times, and each time was fairly windy!
For some reason on the Ruby Princess' February 14 sailing they had the observation area over the bridge closed for the whole cruise... does anyone know why this would be?

I had a room steward who helped himself to my bottle of Crown Royal once. It was 20% full so I ordered a new one after dinner. Sitting new bottle next to old the color was off, after a taste test I found he drank some then refilled the bottle with water. There is no other explanation. I view this with a chuckle and a smile, hey, he needed a drink :-) In retrospect he would have been better off just drinking it and not refilling, I would not have noticed LOL.
