  1. the port in Charleston is very small. I went out of there in July and the CD told people to ask their congress person to build a bigger port so that bigger better ships could come. Anyway ECSTACY was the best cruise i have had so far. Would do it again!

  2. We returned to the boat for our couples massage. We received a $50.00 gift card, champagne and chocolate strawberries the night before. So we used the $50 to upgrade and have hot stones...I'm hooked...I WILL be doing a massage EVERY trip from now on!!!

Then we went to 80's Trivia. Our team won!! It had to be because of ME...not to brag but when you Sing "Purple Rain" and have the men on your team throwing their shirts at you...well, that means you did a good job...and I have the bottle of booze and medal to prove it...

OK so the story goes, my husband was called up on stage to sing "Purple Rain" for our team. He "said" he did not know the words but his wife, who is the BIGGEST Prince fan alive, did. So the cruise director called me up. It was a back and forth comp between me and another person from the other team. She did great...I did BETTER!!! Please see prize bottle number 4 below!!! Our team won! It was a blast.

I played bingo again tonight but didn't win. After it was on to the deck party where we received free drinks from CD for just being who we are and doing what we do....have funn...that was an amazing time at the deck party.

My husband and I were also given one more bottle along with strawberries from the member of the fun squad as well. We never ran out of chocolet covered strawberries or champagen.

It was off to bed for the next day in Free port and relaxation!!!

    Such a fun night.

This is the day we also received a note from a member of the entertainment staff thanking us (ME) for dancing and being so upbeat. Hey what can I say, I like to have a good time!!!

Later that night we went to Karaoke. I sang " Wanted Dead or Alive" which is the best Karaoke song EVER!!!

Since I like to sing and have a good time, this young lady asked me to sing with her. We sang "Goodbye Earl", Then my hubby and I sang "Proud Mary". And I Finished up the Karaoke night with "Tyrone" as I was asked once more to accompany some one else with their rendition. :) I was having a blast.

We went to the Motown show which was awesome.

after that it was Pizza and bed for us...Port day tomorrow!!

  4. Sorry It took me a while to get back at this but with some changes in work and then "HARVEY", it has been crazy. But here we go...

    Day 2

Day at sea and elegant night.

Hubby and I went to breakfast after I returned from my work out.

We walked onto the boat and through the atrium. Simply beautiful

Our room was on the Empris Deck

    IMG_9965.JPG.c69bd9aaa8f27fcb3f09f8266c0846ba.JPG

Once in our room (inside cabin) we had a letter for our scheduled SPA.

    IMG_9788.JPG.f113e2e2c0dc30974fa7951df4cad102.JPG

We went to lunch and awaited our bags returning to our room prior to the muster drill. This was very different from my other cruises. We were assigned a location where a "talk" was given, children were given their arm bands and then we were taken to our spot. This ship even announced for passengers who tried to skip the drill, telling them their SS card would not worker until they completed the "talk". That was very different from other cruise drills I have participated in.

After the drill we went to the Guys vs Girls where was the team Captain. Girls won (of course) and I was given a ship on a stick and the 1st of 5 (count them) 5 bottles of champagne I was given or won.

    IMG_9928.JPG.b69b9e469803f2ee5430e3ca2fdeebc9.JPG

Did I not say this was the BEST cruise EVER!!!!

I also played BINGO, where I won $50.00 of a $150 prize. There were 3 winners so we had to split it.

Hubby and I decided we did not want to go to dinner in the dinning room that evening (early seating) so we ate and hung out for a bit then on to the Welcome Aboard Show. It was great!!!

What I loved about it was Rock the Promade "BAR" Raffel. Basicly every one was asked to follow the CD to the atrium where we were given this paper with a number on it and "tickets" if you will, that you would rip off and give to an attendent. The Cruise director was Ryan, and he led the "march" to the locations. The music was playing and once we arrived at the location, Ryan would tell us a little about the area we were in. You gave your ticket to the staff member there, and Ryan drew a ticket and some one won a drink or some other pirze and then we were on to the next area. It was a great way to show the different bars, disco, Sing a long bar, comdey club and casino bar. Very cool way of seeing the locations and we had a blast. We had a late snack and hit the sack...we were poophed.

  6. Day 1

I got up and went to the top floor of the hotel to eat the buffet breakfast. I spotted the wheal tail far in the distance.

    IMG_9787.JPG.10ec50bede5c168c3da43f429cae8ae0.JPG

After I ate, I rejoined the hubby to continue packing. We turned in our rental car, and was dropped back at the hotel by the rental car company. The hotel shuttle took us to the port. It was the smoothest transaction ever. The Port Authority viewed our documents, took our bags and we were dropped off at what seemed a privet gate. After showing our boarding passes we went into the building to check in through security. There was somewhat of a line but it was moving FAST. We submitted our CC for our sign and sail card (so glad we did as the line on the boat was CRAZY) and took our photo, were welcomed back to sailing with Carnival by the very attentive, professional staff, and were on to the ramp to board. Lickitty split....it was great.

  7. Hellllllo Fellow Cruisers

I went on Ecstasy and HAD A BLAST!!!

I booked this cruise out of Charleston because my family was having a reunion in Myrtle Beach and we wanted to still attend and have our 28th Anniversary / VACA trip too. At first I was a little worried that we were going on this particular ship because it was a lot smaller then i am use to and it did not have the outdoor theater like the newer ships. I thought we would not have as much fun as in the past but i could not have been more incorrect! This, to date, was the best cruise i have ever been on. I mean from the crew to the ship it's self to entertainment and you name it. I will give more detail on the fun we had as I continue with this review.

So My husband and I flew to Myrtle Beach from DFW on Spirit. We had to change planes in Detroit, where I am from and where most of my family would be coming from to the reunion in Myrtle Beach. My cousin arranged for us to sit behind him on the plane. That was a surprise since he told me he had to work and would be down the next day. He had a nice sign waiting for us when we boarded the plane.

We had a fabulous time in Myrtle Beach and Charleston.

The day before boarding the ship, drove down to Charleston from Myrtle beach and stayed the night at the Holiday Inn River View. Great hotel. Great location.

    hotel.jpg.a22a2ec1f9fc292c74e3c46f6dc2c5ba.jpg

This hotel had a stay and park option. Or you can stay and they will take you to the port for like $5.00 but you have to pre- register at the font desk.

    More to come soon!!

  8. Looks like the other replies have covered the bases. Just wanted to say we'll be on the same sailing with you! I went ahead and booked our excursions because the ones we want seem to be for small groups and I wanted to make sure we got our spots!

    YAY...I can't wait.

We booked one excursion with carnival but the other (Nassau) with another company. It was much cheaper and good reviews. Can't wait for the party and all the fun.

  9. Just got back from a 5 day on the Ecstacy. Formal night was the 1st sea day, we received a free drink voucher for the last night instead of cocktail hour, we booked an excursion while on board and the entertainment was good...we especially liked the comedy shows and The Brits show.

Sent from my SM-G925V using Forums mobile app

    Thanks for the info....very helpful!

  10. Hello All

We are leaving on Ecstasy on 7/17/17 and have a couple of questions.

    1. What night is elegant night (lobster night I like to call it)?

    2. Will there be a past guest cocktail hour?

    3. Are you able to pay for an excursion on board or does it need to be prepaid?

    4. What is your opinion of the on board entertainment?

Any help with the above is appropriated.

    Thanks
