  1. What great idea for this time of year.

We did a Princess cruise for 17 nights out of Brisbane in August 2009. 17 nights Return trip to/from Brisbane. Visited Cairns, Townsville, Cooktown, Darwin Overnight, Port Douglas and Airlie Beach.

This was one of the best cruises we have been on at great time of year to escape the winter.

Have never seen this cruise repeated.

Another potential alternate itinerary opportunity missed by cruise lines.

The cruise was on the Sun Princess so yes, the smaller/medium ships can manage the ports of call without issue

    Whoops .

    Did not read my signature.

The ship was the Pacific Sun.

None the less still a fantastic cruise which also included an overnight in Cairns as well.

Should have gotten DW to proof read my post first. LOL

  3. Then why are they complaining?

"Stop treating some countries like 2nd class citizens when it comes to promotions etc."

Obviously whilst reading the boards you and fellow posters may not have understood the issues that some fellow Australians raise .

In Australia we are raised on the premise of giving and getting a fair go.

The issues in relation to the quote you have referred to pertain to the fact the Australians are unable allowed to partake in some Princess advertised promotions and offers that are offered.

Having cruised a number of years with Princess out of Australia I also suggest that the fares have increased over the years, albeit slightly but I have also noticed the much mentioned cost cutting during that time to services and more items being paid fro which were once included in you fare.

    Cheers

  4. We were on the Sun Princess in P345 but didn't notice the noise so booked the same cabin on the Sea Princess thinking it to be a good choice  But the noise you have mentioned Was loud & clear to hear each night - we just toughed it out but definitely would have preferred it not to be there. Other people along the corridor also mentioned it as well. It didn't spoil our cruise as any cruise is a good cruise as far as we are concerned.

    Vicki.
