  1. I am thinking of placing a move up bid on my cruise which is 6 weeks away and I was wondering if best to leave the bidding till nearer the time.Just interested to hear if anyone has had a move up bid accepted as early as this or is it normally weeks or days prior to sail date.

    Many thanks

  2. My husband and I will be joining Sky Princess in early October.

We have the drinks package included and both like to enjoy a couple of glasses of wine with dinner in the evening .I would be interested to hear how ordering wine in the dining room works and any experiences fellow travellers have had.

    Many thanks

  3. My husband and I will be joining Sky Princess in a few weeks cruising from Southampton around the UK.

As we have not cruised for some time I would appreciate any info from our fellow cruisers who have been on any of these cruises on the number of formal evenings and how "dressed up " folks are.

I would also be interested to hear how busy the ships are just now.

    Many thanks

  4. Many thanks for starting this post

I must also add my positive remarks to this post.We have cruised many times with Celebrity and have always had great experiences with them. This cruise however went over and above the norm when the ship was faced with a very difficult situation. The officers were at all times visible and able to answer any questions and the crew were continually making sure that the cruise experience we had ,albeit cut short, was as good as they could make it.Remember of course that all crew on board had no idea what was going to happen to them when the cruise left Singapore and we can only hope that for such a hard working young men & women they have not had any negative impact.

Thanks again to Celebrity for your hard work and professionalism and thanks for keeping us safe

  5. I had a similar experience with my upcoming cruise.I had made final payment in February for our cruise in May but when I tried to print my xpress pass I received a message saying I was missing some important information although I had completed all the relevant details.I contacted Celebrity by e mail who replied that they could not advise me of what was missing as I had booked through a TA but it turns out that although I had paid in February the monies were held by my TA till the last day of March when apparently the funds were due to be paid to Celebrity. It seems this is pretty much the norm for Travel agents now to make sure they have the funds in place way before the actual time the monies are due to the cruise company.

    Hope this helps.

  6. doesnt a suit shirt and tie take up the same amount of space as a dinner suit?.

I am not for a minute suggesting what other people should wear but we have never had any problem getting our luggage under the airline weight even with dh taking full highland rig. or tux.

    Hi scotslass

We are on the same cruise as yourselves .Seems we are thinking the same as husband is set on taking his Dinner suit....Won't complain as he then cannot complain about the weight of my suitcase LOL

    Irene (yes another Irene)

  7. I am having the same problem and my TA is dealing with Celebrity as we speak I have had e mail copies of all documents including the flyer to her to pass on to Celebrity in the hope this can be resolved. We were on Infinity in October and this particular offer was only on till the 14th of November( as per the flyer) so don't know how long the offer had been running but I do know that there were lots of fellow passengers booking cruises when we were on the ship so this could be a problem for some who do not realise that the on board credit they may be due may not materialise.

Hopefully it will get sorted out soon.

  8. Hi Folks

On Celebrity UK site there is a full list of eligible cruises for download .

From our Celebrity UK main page I clicked on "Three Big Offers" then at the bottom of the page I clicked on Terms & Conditions and then at the bottom of that page clicked on Full List of Applicable Cruises .It then downloads all eligible sailings and benefits attached .

    Hope this helps

  9. Having now read almost all 700 plus postings on this subject I feel I now have to add my own thoughts. Please note that this is my first post so feeling slightly out of my comfort zone .
I love cruising with Celebrity and hope to continue to do so in the future but, as has been said before, this particular Promotion has caused a great deal of frustration to many of Celebrity's UK customers. The one overriding issue which has never been answered is why this promotion has very specifically been denied to UK customers although it seems Australians seem to have the same problem. The silence from Celebrity is almost deafening on this subject. It seems every other question but this has been answered and it would at least show that Celebrity care about their UK based customers.I believe I could try and book my next cruise through a US travel agent to gain certain promotions but what then happens to our cruise agents in this country who appear to have very little in the way of incentives compared to our friends in the US.
I wonder what would happen if say British Airways decided to have a promotion offering flights to anywhere in the world for £100 but only for UK residents ....... don't think that would go down well and rightly so.
I am hoping that at some stage Celebrity will reply to my enquiry sent some time ago now and it seems many others have had no response either so come on Celebrity ,if you do indeed read some of these posts , and give us some straight answers.
Glad I have got all that off my chest ......Happy cruising to everyone wherever you are in the world.
