Does anyone know where Putu is? (I know there are two Putu's, a young one and a more experiencd one both from Bali.) The experienced one is the lead bartender in the Martini
Bar and is often used to get new ships ready for initial cruises. Just wondering if we will see him on an upcoming Silhouette cruise. thanks -
No Thanksgiving dinner is s served in all restaurants including Blu. However, I would recommend having thanksgiving dinner at noon in the buffet room where they carve the turkey right in front of you. They bring turkey and all the side dishes fresh out of the kitchen and you can choose what you want. On a recent thanksgiving cruise the chef in the buffet carved 68 turkeys:)

Thanks Dave, I am trying to get a good table in Blu for a 6 people. I know it is FCFS but I would like to try to get one of the round tables up front. Thanks everyone for your help.

We are currently 20 points short of making Elite Plus. After our November 10 night cruise we will be Elite Plus. There is a 5 night cruise the week before our November cruise. If we take an Aqua Class room we would make Elite Plus before our 10 day cruise. The cost of this 5 night cruise is approximately $2000.
The question is making Elite Plus before our 10 night cruise WORTH IT:p

something more reasonable as the next level is warranted! We did make Elite Plus in the change...but at our age we will be dead and cruising the skies before we make Zenith!!! :p And I do feel a little like the "step-child" with everything focused on the suite passengers! We don't book any higher than AQ. But I think we'll stay with X...we do enjoy the benefits we have now. LuAnn
LuAnn, Zenith is for the Travel Agents who travel on customers money ;p

What is the most efficient way after leaving the ship?
Thank you!
We used Lionheart Travel which is an Executive Salon Chauffeur Service. They will pick you up in the Southampton terminal and take you to your destination in London or Heathrow. They will take you on a sightseeing trip of your choice enroute to your destination for no additional cost.

Try your favorite vodka with one drop of scotch. It mellows out the vodka. Don't do more than a drop or two as your Martini will then taste like scotch

On the 9/8 cruise early classic dinner started at 5:30. Diamond Happy Hour started at 5:00. In the Diamond Lounge it is almost impossible for everyone to get a drink at 5:00. Many times we did not get our drink until 5:15 and had to race to dinner at the other end of the ship. We tried to beat the time shortage by going into the Music Hall bar which handled the Diamond Lounge overflow and have a seat at the bar about 4:50. The Music Hall bartenders were great in that they had drinks ready to be distributed at 5:00 sharp. The Music Hall also had waiters who after they got to know you would work hard to serve those that they knew had 5:30 dinner reservations.

Thanks, I finally understand how it works.

We are making our sail away sign for TMZ in FLL. Does anyone know the length of the Oasis Ocean View balconies? I think they are almost all the same length but if I need to be clear we are on Deck 11 port side, forward hump. I am estimating 7 feet. Am I close?:)
Thanks

Do you think I can get off the Navigator of the Seas early enough to get to London Heathrow in order to make a 12:20PM flight? How early do the transfers leave, National Express Coach has a 7:45AM departure but the next isn't until much later. Car hire?
What is my best bet, or is it to book a later flight. Help!
I suggest contacting Lionheart Travel on line (see there web site)or by phone 44 2380 46036 for a car. They will be there when you request I suggest 0730 at the latest.

Do you know who the bartender was for the big pour. I know it was not Putu but was he onboard?
Thanks

Just an added thought. The Embassy Suites is great for those without a car. Parking is $20.00 per day while you are cruising and can get a bit expensive.

A1 and A2 cabins are the same size and layout. The difference is the location on the ship. Although both categories are on the spa deck, the A2 cabins are toward the front or back of the ship while the A! cabins are in the center. IMHO the best cabins are A1 cabins on the "hump" as the patio's are larger.

I'd like to get a sense from those who have sailed several times on Celebrity whether the overall satisfaction differs among the various ships and if so is it a big difference or hardly enough to matter.
Put it this way. Hypothetically, if there were two ships available for the same itinerary, same dates, same price per cabin class, same everything, but one is a Solstice class and one Millennium class, and you could pick either one, which would you pick and why? Or is it a toss up.
The difference is 3000 pax vs 2000 pax. We prefer Solstice because the ships are newer and by choosing Aqua you avoid a crowded MDR.

Parking in Miami is very easy. It's in a high rise garage no mor than one block from Celebrity ships. Check in is much more organized than Ft. Lauderdale

Thanks all for the info. This site is great.

Prior to last cruise some guests referred to the above named site to find out who the cruise director would be and who the bartenders at the Martini Bar would be. Is anyone familiar with this site?
Thanks
