I just checked this morning and WOW, really!

It was £60.75 yesterday which we thought was excessive so its now approx. $95 a day as a special offer.

    From

£72.85 GBP / per guest per day
    £91.06 GBP onboard

lol its crazy isnt it. Im on symphony in December 2022 and they are quoting £75.95 per day. Im not paying that and I am banking on a deal at some point in time if not I will go a la carte. Im also from the UK. I dont drink £75 worth of alcohol in a month never mind a day! lol😱

My threshold is low. I'd buy it at $42/day, even though I'm unlikely to get my money's worth even at that price point.

The reason I'd still buy it is because I do find some monetary value in an "all inclusive" option, even if I don't break even monetarily compared to the cost of drinks.

Having a guaranteed maximum charge for the option to drink as much as I want without thinking about it, is worth $350 to me. Anything above that and it's not worth it because the financial cost I'm paying for the "all inclusive option" loses it's psychological value for me personally.

I buy the refreshment package for the same reason. Last cruise I paid $19/day (plus 18%), and I paid more for the package than I would have paid out-of-pocket for the drinks I consumed, but I still felt it was a fair value for the added benefit of having the guaranteed maximum spending limit.

I bought the refreshment package for my upcoming cruise at $23/day, but if it went to $25/day or more I think I'd skip it.

I don't drink a lot though, and I get tired of soda and coffee after about 4 or 5 days. I'm one of those boring water drinkers who brings my running shoes on vacation 😂.

yep I bring my Hokas everywhere with me, first thing I pack - Ill be up running around the ship every morning without fail! lol

  3. Good Morning Everyone :)

I wondered if you wonderful cruise experts can assist me with a few questions.

    Drinks

I have purchased the Deluxe drinks package for myself and for my husband.

Could you please advise, can I get a glass of wine with my dinner in the MDR or any of the speciality restaurants (Giovannis, Central Park etc) without paying extra? Im just a little confused when they keep referring to discounts off bottles of wine when I only want a glass with dinner - Am I only allowed one glass per dinner for myself and one for my husband or do we have to buy a bottle if we want wine with a meal? Problem is hubby drinks red and I drink white and I wouldn't finish a bottle - I'd be awfully ill.

Also, After visiting the gym in the morning or after a deck 5 track walk, I usually get a latte or drinking chocolate, can I get this anywhere on AoS or is it only starbucks that offers this (Im aware I have to pay extra for anything I get in Starbucks). If somewhere else does it, are they good quality?

Lastly on drinks, Is there any coffee making facilities in staterooms at all?

    Menus

I'm a pescatarian, does the MDR have a plentiful fish menu available and is fish generally available in the other restaurants include windjammer? I will also eat a vegetarian menu quite happily but I do like a piece of fish with an evening meal

    Uber

Has anyone here used Uber to get from Port Everglades back to Miami. Is it an easy pick up, is this the most cost effective way. My Hubby and I have never driven in the USA (we are born and bred Brits!) so would rather not hire a car.

    Thanksgiving/Christmas

We will have just missed Thanksgiving, our Cruise is the Sunday after TG. Will the ship have any Christmas decor up. Im sure when I did my last Cruise during thanksgiving on Liberty (I remember buying watches on Black Friday) the Christmas tree was up the day after or am I mistaken?

I tell you I cant wait for this cruise I feel like a kid on Christmas eve!

Thank you so much for your advice.

    :)

  4. Good Morning,

Can anyone who may have recently been affected by the changes to certain itineries on Eastern Caribbean cruises possibly advise which cruise port RCCL are replacing St Thomas with? I'm doing Nassau, St Thomas & St Kitts in November but I've not seen any information from my TA as yet but looking at reports it indicates of the 3 planned ports St Thomas will not be receiving Ships for a while.

    Thank you.

  5. Good Afternoon everyone,

Firstly, prayers have gone up for all of you in southern regions of the USA in Irmas path. I have always been in ore and respect of how America stands firm in the face of adversity and just pulls together (Im a born and bred English Girl)

Could somebody tell me the time (approx) it would take to walk from one end of Allure to the other? Is there a specific deck that I can do that on the outside? Sometimes I walk, sometimes I jog depending on how my leg is behaving (old injury), is there a courtesy rule for walkers and for joggers?

    Thank you Kindly :)

  6. The timing has knocked 3.5 hours off my port time - it may be small to some but thats 3.5 hours less enjoyment in port, thats alot - i'm travelling from the UK, its costs an arm and a leg when you add up all the international flight prices and pre hotel stays (which they insist on), they said it so casually. Its a very low port stop cruise as it is. But nothing one can do, it is what it is so just have to make teh most of the time in port.

  7. Hi Betty

Haven't stayed in any of those sorry but trip advisor is a great place to start to get honest opinions. The Miami destination experts on there have been a great help to me.

Im also staying in Miami post cruise but I have chosen Hampton Inn Suites - Miami Bricknell downtown. The reviews are awesome.

Im sure someone will be along soon who has stayed at these.
