We recently returned from the Constellation and thought it was a fantastic ship with brilliant service. We have only sailed S class before but preferred this ship. I hope you will enjoy a wonderful cruise just like us. :D
-
No they don't open up but the balconies certainly have space for a few visitors. We are a family of 4 and they gave us pass key cards so we could go back and fore between the rooms.
I sure you will enjoy :)

Just returned from Constellation. We had 2 Sweet Sixteen rooms i.e. 6031 and 6033. They are in the cheapest category of balcony cabins and were fantastic. The balconies are enormous, with both shaded and open areas.
Very happy with our choice :D

Thank you!

Please can anyone tell me where the Constellation docks in Zadar? We are being picked up at the dock for a tour but the tour operator is asking whether it is at Gazencia or old town.
Alternatively could you advise me how to find out.

It was 2013 that we visited the Sagrada. It was beautiful inside. We also visited Park Guell.
Thank you for the replies and suggestions. It seems we can't go wrong whichever option we take.:)

Please can anyone give me their opinions about which Gaudi building you would recommend. We have already been to the Sagrada and would like an alternative for our forthcoming visit to Barcelona. We were thinking maybe Casa Batllo or Case Mila?. Any advice on these or any other Gaudi buildings would be greatly appreciated.

My teenagers favourite Med port is Palma. We had an overnight there on our Navigator cruise this summer. Be sure to check out the Bond Rider Safari excursion - it was amazing for all ages. I think it is about what you choose to do at the ports. My teens have seen the ruins and tourist sites but it is the water activities they like best.
They also love Dubrovnik, Venice and Santorini.
That said, they loved a Norway/Iceland cruise where we went saw humpback whales at very close quarters, as well as geysers, huge waterfalls and hikes to a glacier.
I am sure you will have a wonderful time whichever cruise you choose.

Guiness on draft is currently available in Two Poets pub on Navigator out of Southampton.

Hi
Just off Navigator - we were My Time Dining and were on Deck 5 - the upper level of the 3 tiers of the dining room:)

Hi
Please can anyone advise me of the current rate of exchange for onboard accounts.
Is the rate set for a period of time or does it vary by the hour /day to reflect current market rates?
I am just setting up the card for my onboard account and I usually select for my card provider do the currency conversion but with the fall in the pound, I am wondering if I would be better to allow RCCL to do the conversion.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Lack of pullmans sadly seems to be the trend with new ships. I had the same problem with Quantum and had to book 2 connecting rooms for our family of 4.

I do hope your husband is fully recovered. I am sure the cleaning chemicals must be very strong.

We were also on the same cruise and loved your beautiful photos. Yes, whilst we has a great cruise, we found the first day very hard. The muster drill took place just after we got on board and it was very, very crowded chaotic and lengthy due to delay after delay as we waited in the crowded space, where it was impossible to see the screen.
I know norovirus procedures have to be followed but I feel they really got it wrong with the muster drill, especially after such a long wait to board.
Then my suitcase did not arrive and after dinner in very unsuitably warm clothes I joined a long queue in guest services to try to locate it. It had been confiscated due to a small nail scissors in there. My fault I know but it had rounded ends and has always come with me before. It could also have helped if I had been notified.
There were so many beautiful things about the ship I do not want to sound negative. I appreciate the lovely week we had but have never had a first day like this.

Thank you so much for all your help. Yes it is an oceanview I was looking at and you have answered all my questions.
Thanks again!!

Please can anyone tell me the difference between stateroom category 01 and 02. I am looking at deck plans for the new Escape but I imagine the category would be the same as earlier ships.
I would particularly like to find out about how the sleeping arrangements are configured for a family of four - I have had different accounts from agents and am seeking advice from someone who may have first hand experience.
I am new to NCL and appreciate any help.

Good waterproof walking shoes and layers are great. We took far too many really warm clothes when we did a similar route and we didn't need them.
It can be quite breezy and cool on deck as you sail, so you will need a fleece and/or possibly a windcheater type jacket.
The scenery is amazing - enjoy!

Hi CCFC
When the doors are shut between the rooms, I think the sound proofing is pretty good. We were in your position on a previous cruise with Celebrity and did not hear anything from the connecting room.
-
Hi - we stayed in connecting rooms 10266 and 10268 on Quantum. These were not the BC category but were in a better location than the available BCs. We are a family with 2 adults and 2 children and I was initially concerned that we could be split up if they changed or upgraded one room. I marked our booking 'no upgrades' just in case.
The rooms were great and we were very happy with the location. There are internal doors just inside the main door, which can be fixed open or opened and shut as you want. This was quite useful if the children had something on telly that we did not want to hear or to have some privacy. Sometimes when the rooms were serviced, we could move in to the other room and shut the door.
We also enjoyed the balcony dividers being opened to join the balconies. :)

Hi Just got off Quantum with our boy and girl who turned 15 on the cruise. They did not want to go to the 1st night teens meet and greet but turned up at the Living Room on the second day with a pack of cards and started to play. Other teens soon joined in with them and it was a great way to meet other people. After that either would of them would drop in to check what was happening.
i was surprised that they were not into many activities e.g. bumper cars etc as they did not want to join the queues.
After the 3 very active shore days, they were happy to relax for the last 2 days and enjoy the lovely weather.
They thought Mama Mia and the food were great. They really enjoyed the whole experience - I am sure you will have a wonderful time.
-
You are right - no pullmans!! This has had a big impact on us as we are travelling with boy & girl twins, turning 15 on the cruise. There is no way they would share a sofa bed so we have had to book adjoining rooms. Of course this is more money for RCCL!!:(

Hi I have been reading previous threads on Atlantis and they have been very useful but I am left with a couple of questions and wonder if anyone can help:
If you buy a day pass or stay at the Comfort Suites, do you have to leave Atlantis by a certain time? Our ship does not sail until very late in the evening and I hope to visit the Dig after pools close.
How can you book Aquaventure and Dolphin Deepwater Encounter, apart from through the cruiseline?
What happens if the children do the Dolphin Enconuter but you just want the aquaventure? Are you able to watch them with the dolphins?
Many thanks for any advice

Carol
I hope you have a great time in your family wedding in September - I'll look out for your post.
Could I ask another question? I thought I might start another thread but it is your expertise that I need.
Is there any advice on travelling from Jersey City to Ground Zero - possibly another ferry?
We should have time the day we arrive.
Many thanks again.
-
Carol - thank you so much for your brilliant information. Yes we booked the Jersey City hotel on your recommendation. We have also booked 2 nights post cruise in the Casablanca ( 2 doubles and sofa bed)
I am sure there will be more questions as the planning continues - thanks again.

Shore excursion details
in Celebrity Cruises

Please can anyone tell me if there is any way of finding out more details of offered shore excursions pre-cruise? There is a good discount for booking in advance but the details of what is included in the excursions is pretty sparse.
