It seems  - when only reading the RCI messages sent to passengers - that indeed those two cases are very similar, only difference is that ports missed are either in Europe or US. We chose Jewel just because of Azores which is not a frequent port of call and obviously are not too happy but this is vacation and after all we want to enjoy....

Seems to me RCI wanted to save some $$$ by putting blame on weather for Navigator when in reality it is a mechanical issue underlying which will make TA impossible if not fixed before. By doing so they have made (some) Jewel passengers unhappy and I am looking forward some protesting people on board....

RCI at least has performed the immigration procedure with Israeli officials onboard doing a face to face with all guest today so I assume all on track for Ashdod.

Do you know if there will be free shuttles to the port gate and if yes do you have a description of the port gate address I could pass on to a local for arranging pick up? RCI offers a 15$ shuttle to Sea Mall Shopping Centre. Does this make sense or will a local have an easier time meeting us at the port gate (if we can get there...)? kind regards & thanks Werner
