  1. I had the WOW bands on my Anthem cruise in August and loved them. You can use them in casino on table games and slot machines. Getting drinks and st guess services. I brought coffee and muffins back to cabin in morning for my wife and opening door was a breeze, rather then getting card out. You just can’t use them for getting off and on ship, must have sea pass card & ID.

  2. About one hour after leaving Bermuda yesterday we stopped. A red rescue boat came along side of us. Couldn’t see what was going on from my balcony. After 15 minutes boat left we did a U turn and headed out to sea. There were no announcements as what happened. Did anyone hear anything about it.

  3. My question is I rented an over the water cabana at Nelly beach. There are 8 of us and I hear that’s the max. Is this a private part of the beach or can we just walk to cabana. We will probably be there before most of our group gets there. Can we go at different times or do we have to go as a group.

  4. Luggage can be misplaced. Last year my son & daughter in law was on the Anthem of the seas. My sons luggage didn’t make it to the room. When they asked about it at the reception area, they said it would turn up. This was before the ship left the pier. As it turned out they left the luggage on the pier. This was found out three days into the cruise. They gave my son $300 to buy new clothes. Then they told him to cross pack. Put half of your wife and your clothes in each suitcase.

  5. We will be leaving on the Anthem in a few weeks

I booked this cruise last year and can’t remember if I paid the gratuities or not; where on my planer would it say if I did or not prepay this

  6. I always wonder what all the fuss is about the 6/5 odds opposed to 3/2 odds on low bet tables. So if your betting $6 and get BJ you would have got $9 on 3/2 table instead of $7 on 6/5 table. And how often do you get BJ. On high end tables I can see the difference.

    Just my opinion.

  7. If you loved the haven on the Gem, you will go crazy with the haven on the bigger ships like Escape, Getaway,Bliss. I personally didn’t like haven on the Gem because I was on the Breakaway first. They have a haven lounge, bar and private restaurant. The food in the haven restaurant is the best on the ship. Service is great too. The haven courthouse is much bigger then the smaller ships.

They also serve lunch by poolside if you want.

  8. I play BJ all the time on land and cruise casinos and I usually win. It’s all money management. The odds are in the casinos favor. The dealer will usually win more hands than you. So if you play $25 a hand all the time, you will lose. You have to vary your bet. It takes time to figure out how to do this, but you will win most of the time. My last cruise I won $8000. I usually don’t win that much but had a good cruise. The cruise before I won $1800.

So you can win in the casinos on cruise ships. Just have to know how to play the game and bet according.

  9. Depends which ship you go on. All the newer mega ships Yes. The smaller ones like the Gem I would say no. I’ve been in havens on both types and no comparison.

  10. It does depend which NCL ship you go home on. The mega ships, like Breakaway, Escape,Getaway havens are much better, they have their own restaurant( which is great) own lounge and a much bigger courtyard. The smaller ships that have haven does not have own restaurant or lounge and the courtyard is small.

  11. We had the small cabana on GSC and loved it. We ordered it on line and saved. The cabana was $425 but only $382 when we ordered on line. We had the $50 voucher for food and ordered the lobster and shrimp. Also had the fruit, salsa and chips. Never had a problem getting drinks. Always a cabana boy coming around to see if you want a drink or food. We had them get us food from the buffet. Also at the end of the day I was tired and didn’t want to do that long walk again and they sent a Jeep to take us back. To us it was worthwhile getting it.

  12. We rented a small cabana and loved it. The walk to the cabana was long but we made it. After a long day I felt walk back would be to long. So we asked and got a ride in a Jeep back to the road to the ship.

The cabana was great, it also has a shower in the back of it. We had the seafood platter which had lobster tails and shrimp.

  13. We were in the aft penthouse on Breakaway and OS on the Gem. There is no comparison to the haven on the large ships. We never used the courtyard on the Gem as it was real small. But on the breakaway we were in the courtyard everyday, The Breakaway haven without a doubt is much, much better. I would never go haven again on the smaller ships, not worth it
