  1. We visited Benoa Port in Bali on the Maasdam in November 2017. Members of our Cruise Critic Group did a tour with Suweca Bali Tour. We were in contact with the tour company for almost 10 months ahead of the cruise. The owner, Ketut Suweca , was very responsive to all our questions and set up a tour for 20 of our members. We visited many interesting sights and had a delicious lunch in a beautiful local restaurant. Transportation was in new air conditioned vans. Commentary about what we were seeing and visiting was excellent. The price was $ 45 USD per person which was WELL below anything the ship charged for a similar tour. Ketut told me he keeps his price low to attract business. He is doing an excellent job and I would highly recommend him for cruise ship Cruise Critc tours ! Do a google search for Suweca Bali Tour and lok at his Cruise Ship tour...

  2. Try Atmospheric Tours...We did their Round Island Tour when the Maasdam visited P.V. in October 2017. It was a great tour in air conditioned vans. The guide was excellent. We saw everything the Island had to offer including a nice lunch on a beautiful beach. Stops included the Blue Lagoon, A native village { kind of } with a guy who did a walk on hot rocks, and a small military museum. The tour lasted about 8 hours and was well worth the price we paid. And, the cost was significantly less than what the ship was charging...

  3. We visited Noumea in October 2017 on the Maasdam...There is a good Tourist Info Center that can set you up with tours. The shuttle from the ship drops you off at the center. We took a 4 hour tour that included a stop at the beautiful Cultural Center...A must see place ! The cost of the tour was $ 35 USD each and included the admission to the Cultural Center.. Transportation was in a large air-conditioned tourist bus with a very good guide. We got to see all the beaches and made a stop at the overlook for a great view of everything. Don't waste your money on an expensive ship's tour.

  4. We visited Waterford in June 2017 on the Prinsendam. We were part of a Cruise Critic group who booked a tour with South Ireland Travel southirelandtravel.com We were met at the pier by our tour guide Eamonn and off we went in a nice mini van. Eamonn was an excellent guide and provided us with a very interesting eight tour of the area around Waterford. Our first stop was at New Ross which has a big connection with the Kennedy family. We then stopped at a restored Abby. Next stop was at a colorful riverside restaurant for scones and tea. Then, it was off to the historical city of Kilkenny. The highlight of this stop was the Kilkenny Castle. Being a good Irishman, Eamonn made sure we visited a colorful Irish Pub to sample some good Irish beer!!! Eamonn is a retired Policeman and knows the area around Waterford extremely well .He did an excellent job of explaining things and thoroughly enjoyed showing off his beautiful Irish countryside. I would highly recommend him for your tour. You can contact Eamonn Coady at sales@southirelandtravel

  6. We were also on the Prinsendam and missed the tour at Milford Haven described above. We have also set up tours for Cruise Critic folks in many other ports and have never had a problem with refunds of deposits. The point is, if you are going to Milford Haven, be aware that Narbeth Mini bus Tours will not return your deposit if your ship misses the port for any reason. Milford Haven is a tender port and no Captain is going to take the risk of launching tenders if the weather could cause injuries passengers boarding or off loading from these small boats...Just a caution to other Cruise Critic folks visiting Milford Haven...

  7. We were on the Holland American Prinsendam scheduled to visit Milford Haven on June 6, 2017. A member of our Cruise Critic group had made a reservation with Narberth Mini Bus Travel for a tour. She was required to make a 100 Pound deposit with the company in order to make the reservation...Because of bad weather in the area, the Prinsendam was unable to make the visit to Milford Haven. When informed that the port visit had been cancelled, The company refused to refund the deposit. We also had a port visit to Galway cancelled. The company who was scheduled for a Cruise Critic tour in Galway immediately refunded our deposit...We all kicked in our share of the deposit so that the person who made the reservation in Milford haven didn't have to bear all the burden of the loss....Just be aware that Narbeth Mini Bus Travel WILL NOT refund your deposit if your port call to Milford Haven is cancelled ..

  8. Just another vote for ENPATAGONIA. We took the tour when Prinsendam was there. It was one of the best tours we did. The lunch at the farm house is outstanding. The guide was British, so there was no problem with trying to understand what she was saying. There were two small buses to handle the group and there was no problem with overcrowding...John
