We fly on 27/01/24 from a London airport, have not yet been told which one. A little annoying as would like to book hotel and parking. Also now thinking of cancelling

Just tried cancelling or moving our booking to another cruise. Been told we will either lose the deposit or we have to find another cruise to the same value. We are still wondering what to do 😞

  2. I've read that you've given a time to embark the ship and that if you turn up early then you have to wait outside the cruise terminal until your time is called.

What happens when you decide to use the coach option and have no control over the time you arrive at the cruise terminal?

In the past when we've used the coach we've arrived late afternoon and just walked through security, no waiting.  I would be interested what people's experiences are.

    TIA

  3. If you have to be out of your cabin early in the morning and your flight is much later that day what facilities are available to you?  Is there somewhere you can store you hand luggage and do they have courtesy rooms for you to shower?  I'm sure this question has been asked before and I apologise in advance but I can't find the post.  TIA.

  4. I am hoping for some help.  We are on the P & O Azura embarking on 11th March to 18th.  We will be in Tenerife overnight on 17th March but the shore excursion are nothing like the ones advertised for 18th.  Am I missing something?  I wanted to go to Mount Tiede, the only advertised one is for 'accessible'.  Any help would be much appreciated.  🛥️

  5. We are travelling next year on the Azura for a special birthday and we've watching Youtube.  One couple have said don't pre-book the dining as it's usually half price when you board.  Has anybody come across this? If it's half price then instead of booking just one we would splash out on two.  Thanks for any help.

The limit has increased to $9.

Plus there is no delay limit (either in terms on number of drinks or total value of drinks) - providing you're not totally incapable.

I am very sorry to sound ignorant but I'm so confused with the drink packages.  We have been given as part of our cruise a 'Classic Drink Package' and I thought certain drinks were part of the package but after reading so many posts my confusion has taken over my usually sound brain.  I am hoping you can help me, for example you are allowed to order a beer as part of your package and that allowance is $9, if you order a beer for is $10 then you pay the just $1 plus a gratuity.  Do you pay a gratuity even if you choose a beer that is $9?  It's very confusion and any help would be appreciated.  Julie

  7. We were informed on Thursday that one side of the bed was against the wall by our TA.  I contacted Marella who told me this wasn't the case! Went back to my TA and they contacted Marella who told them the bed could be moved around! Are they for real? This is the first time cruising with Marella and not happy with their knowledge of the ship and what exactly they have sold their customers. My TA has complained saying the cabin we have booked could not in all honesty be considered 'deluxe' when you have to climb over your partner to get out of bed. I believe these cabins used be family cabins.  Please let me know if anybody has spoken to Marella and actually spoke to somebody who knows what they are talking about.

Thats the bit that puzzles me ,bypass the terminal in a european airport ????

I find it all depends on who you talk to at Marella.  I found it very odd what the lady was telling me and I questioned it twice. She was quite insistent that what she was telling was correct.  All I can is that she was very nice, well let's hope so!!!

  9. There is so much confusion I really just want somebody to explain to me the embarking process.

When we cruised previously we went into a cruise terminal and ‘checked in’.  Showing our passport/photograph taken/bank details/boarding card given to us.

I asked Marella if our luggage was bonded from Manchester to Naples as so much has been said on social media, I thought I would ask Marella directly.  I was told the luggage was not bonded and when I get to Naples I would collect my luggage and take it to the coach where I would be given a welcome pack and my boarding card.  I asked who do I give my bank details to and was told this would be given to somebody on the ship.

To say I’m very confused is an understatement.  Please would somebody who has actually cruised before with Marella please let me know what really happens once you get to the ship.

Many thanks for any help you can give me.

  10. Normally when you book a cruise you are asked what sitting you preferred. We've booked a cruise with Marella, we were not asked and I completely forgot about dining times. Is it freedom dining or should I go back to our travel agent? As usual thanks for any help:)

  11. I have been looking at a cruise next year from Naples. Could I just ask once you arrive at Naples airport do you collect your luggage as you would normally do, find your holiday representative and go to your allocated coach or is there a different system in place?

I have only ever cruised where you arrive at your cruise terminal and hand your luggage over to the porters.

    Thanks for any help.

  12. The cruises for November 2019 have just been released but I would be very interested to know when the best time to book a cruise with Celebrity and get the best bargains.

In the past we've paid the published price but later found other passengers were offered on board spending, drinks packages, upgrades etc.

I am very interested in everybody's views. Thanks.

  13. We've booked through P&O our transfers from Knutsford to Southampton. We are travelling on the 19th December but not received any information with regard to pick up times. Has anybody heard about their transfers or am I worrying too much? Thanks for any help.

  14. Just read on CC two bad reviews for the Arcadia. I thought the Arcadia had recently had a refit but according the the recent reviews it needs updating. I would appreciate some other opinions. Thank you :)

  15. We have been given transfers from the North West to Soutampton using Inter Cruise but I have to be honest I am a little bit worried and would like some reassurance. The confirmation booking says it can be cancelled 21 days before departure! Has anybody experienced this catastrophe? Is Inter Cruise as good as Eavesway? Should I be concerned, I am a worrier. Thanks
