Sorry you did not enjoy the ship. We board April 2nd. I think you are right about MTD and an interior cabin. We have balconies and no MTD; shows and restaurants are booked so anticipating a great trip.

We enjoy the margarita flights. Usually eat at Sabor for lunch. We see the officers eating there, so it must be good 😀

We use the RCL Visa for OBC. As others have mentioned, other cards can be more rewarding. Currently also using other reward cards. I travel for work so we use the hotel and airline points for free travel.
What I like about the RCL points for OBC is that at the end of the cruise, all the extras are paid for. For us it is flowrider lessons, wine and spa. The prices on board are excessive and the points take the sting out of receiving that final bill on your cabin door.

Great reviews. Looking forward to meeting her this afternoon!

We are D+ and still working so have limited vacation time. This year we will get in one 7 day and one 5 day cruise. We book suites for the space and the perks. Looking forward to our first Star Class experience on Anthem. My understanding is that we get lots of perks including free premium drink package, gratuities, specialty restaurants, saved theater seats (anywhere in the theater) and the Royal Genie. We have booked nothing in advance and the Genie will take care of everything. If I only have limited days at sea each year, then this is the way I want to cruise!

It makes me smile when I use it. :D
It is harder to max out the value of the free cruise lately. :(
It makes me smile too!!!! We use it for OBC. Also have a Marriott card which is great for points.

We are going on same cruise July 9. Your video was very informative. We will do more specialty restaurants and see if the food experience will be better. DW loved the blown glass. Were the prices good? Looked liked St. George was not worth the time? Very helpful and thank you for posting. Say hi to your mom; she was very sweet.

We have had 8730 on both Allure and Oasis. This coming spring break we will have 9730 on Allure. Am curious to see if it is noticeably smaller.

Things like what is your perfect day, kind of phone you have, what is your summer read, likes, dislikes, vacation cocktail, several food and drink questions. Are you a night owl or early riser. Questions to get to know you better.

We filled out our questionnaire for a July 9th cruise! Getting excited about Star service.

We had the same experience with tables for 2 in the complementary venues. The larger tables definitely got more attention, and seemed to be having more fun. We seemed to be rushed, the courses were served in very quick succession without time to rest and digest, and the waiters weren't as warm or welcoming (with one great exception: Constantin in American Icon, who was wonderfully attentive and provided friendly and personalized service). We were in and out within 45 minutes in most cases. Not very relaxing or enjoyable.
We will be a 2 top in July on Anthem. Should we just order each course separately and force a slower pace?

We're retirees and have been on 10 different RCI ships. So far, our favorite is the Anthem. We love the choices/variety in entertainment, dining, activities, even pools.
Glad to hear that. We are taking our first cruise without family or kids; July 9th Anthem. Can't wait to try this class of ship.

We received our survey for the July 9th cruise on Anthem. Will fill it out this week.

Interesting read. We have a five day with Star service in July. There will be two of us. Depending on service, I'm thinking $300 to $400 for the five days? This will be our first experience with Star service so will see how it goes and will report back.

I only booked Anthem because of all the controversy. Would much rather sail from Florida. Now that we have a booking, I can't wait to experience this ship from this port.

We always stay at the Gallery One Double Tree Suites. It is very convenient.

We sailed FOS April 3 - the bed was comfortable, there was lobster on 2nd formal night and we enjoyed the mystery dinner.
-
I liked receiving them in the mail as a sign the cruise was getting close. Oh well, guess with the new Royal Genie you won't need luggage tags?

Just found your thread. Pictures are wonderful. We are on the same five day starting July 9. Have fun!

We were on last week with you. Yes it was spring break and the pool deck was crowded but we never felt as though the entire ship was crowded.

Sorry for your bad experience. We were on Freedom last week and the bed was just fine. It was firm but not overly so for our taste. Slept great. We had a great dinner at Sabor on the last night. Table side guacamole was so good, we had two orders. We had chicken and shrimp dishes which all tasted and smelled great. Would highly recommend.

To be clear, there were two bottles of a CA Merlot in the room (we did not drink them) and an iced bottle of champagne was delivered. We would have our evening 'before dinner cocktails' in the CL (you can also take them to enjoy in the cabin or balcony) or in one of the other bar venues. One night the Windjammer bar tender made me a killer double Manhattan in a plastic glass so I could take it outside and watch my DS's flowrider lesson. Just used the D+ 3 drinks from my SeaPass card. Some nights the CL had a crowd and empty on other nights. It was the end of spring break so there were several tables with kids (well behaved). The bartenders in the CL were fantastic; meant to give a shout out to them in my earlier post. The concierge and staff (including the Diamond concierge) were top notch and made our cruise experience exceptional. Also during the cruise we bought 3 more bottles, one in Vintages and two in the dining room. You can take those back to your room as well.

PRIDE - you can play the piano and DS(15) did that often as the rest of us would beg him to stop. He played chop sticks. The piano controller has an iPad looking control device with 10 pages of preset music on it. You can add a CD and there is a hook-up for an aux device. Did not see Bluetooth. You can ask the concierge or they will send up a technician to go over the operations with you. We only used the presets.
The PS3 gaming system was already in the room and you just had to request the controller and games from the concierge.
Yes we received several bottles of wine and one bottle of champagne. Plus we brought two bottles of champagne with us and invited friends over for sunsets and sail aways. Yes, they removed all of the items in the refrigerator so we could keep water, champagne and medications in there. They removed everything and took it away on the first day as requested. No issues.
Each day we would receive something. The first day was champagne and sushi; after that it was usually fruit and desserts (no pastry).
First time Celebrity cruiser on Equinox, after 9 cruises on Royal so a few questions!

We are Diamond+ on Royal and March 10 will be our first Celebrity cruise on Equinox. We booked yesterday and they gave us Captain Club numbers with Elite status. Very helpful info on this thread. Thanks
